SOG UF 72% Ark 75%
SOG gators 67
I think we bounce back...
MVG Allen. He's due and he lights it up against the Hogs.
SOG UF 72 ARky 65
Hudson .. lol
FR % UF 68 Ark 77
SOG: UF 65, ARK 75
Gators 67% Hogs 64%
Gators 50% Arky 75%
Believe it or not, this prediction of the Gators losing big is the closest prediction. And came really close to two bonus points for the correct Gator score.
Gators @ FSU - ApexNC
Charleston Southern @ Gators - wingtee
LaSalle @ Gators - Matherly87 and HallGator
Oklahoma v Gators - wingtee and gogators73
Stanford v Gators - Singaporegator
Butler v Gators - gatorbogey
UNF @ Gators - denyken12
West Virginia v Gators - gogators73
Michigan State @ Gators - Gatorhead
Mercer @ Gators - BigByte1 and gulfgator
FGCU v Gators - gator954
Butler @ Gators - BTEGator and gulfgator
South Carolina @ Gators - OklahomaGator
Gators @ Arkansas - lostgator
1: wingtee - 4 points
2: BTEGator, gator054, Singaporegator - 3 points
5: BigByte1, denyken12, gogators73, gulfgator, and Matherly87 - 2 points
10: ApexNC, gatorbogey, Gatorhead, HallGator, lostgator, OklahomaGator- 1 point
17: lots tied for seventeenth with zero points
I think there’s a flaw in the math if a predicted blow out loss wins when the gators win....
Need to break out a Fourier transform for a gator victory!
Blind pigs finding the acorn on occasion is OK.
That's like saying the Hogs actually score more than 60 points every once in awhile.
I don't get it.
Actual score was 57-51, I said 68-61. So I missed the MOV by 1, winner missed it by 20.
Top scorer was Allen so clearly he was POY, so I got that one right. Winner said it was Hudson.
SOG was 79 for UF and 57 for Arky. I said 72/65, so I was 15 off. Winner predicted 50/75 so he was 47 off.
I think others were closer than I was on the MOV, though I haven't gone through the thread.
Shouldn't any winner of this contest get the game winner right at a minimum?
Did the Broward County supervisor design this contest or what?
Sorry I am late to this contest and don't remember the rules, but this makes no sense to me.
Closest to the final score wins. Getting the winner correct is not part of the metric.
You were off by 21 points total: 11 from the Gator score and 10 from the Arky score.
lostgator was off by 20 points total: 1 from the Gator score and 19 from the Arky score.
20 is less than 21.
woo hoo, didn't realize I won the SC game, would rather gators scored 3 more points and someone else had won though.
Hey I nailed the MVP, winning by six points, and the final 4 free throws to seal the win. I'll take that as a consolation prize. LOL
"...and win with 4 straight free throws from the MVP Allen... end of dream sequence."
So MVG has nothing to do with it? I guess it's a tie breaker.
IMO the winner of the contest should pick the winner of the game correctly.
That's the most important part of picking.
THIS. Then after narrowing it down to those who picked the right team to win, you would use your parameters. If you pick the losing team you are automatically disqualified. Might be something for the future to think about. Either way it is just for fun. GO GATORS!
So run your own contest.
Look, I appreciate that you are doing this. It gives an added dimension and level of fun for basketball, which could use all the help it can get since we are a football school.
I didn't mean to seem like I was complaining, just trying to help and offer suggestions.
Thanks again for keeping up with all this- it's a lot i'm sure.
Had to know that was coming! Lol
But....we think with your advanced engineering degree you could spin the algorithms to include margin of victory, the winner, and closest score
What else? Best foodie recipe for the tailgatoring before the game??
