10 takeaways: How bad can it get at Tennessee?
Good read there.
Phat has nothing to lose. If this fails (and it will), he can just continue to be a spokesman for Krispy Kreme.
Ouch. Now, I need a doughnut.
Thamel also skewered khaki pants yesterday.
Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel decimates Michigan & Jim Harbaugh - FootballScoop
Spot on articles. Harbaugh would be fired for losses to OSU if anyone else was president.
Oh, great. Now you've done it. The THFSG crowd will be all over this.
He’s not wrong.
Brutal. Just brutal. I’ll check with my UT friends and see if they agree.
“Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
Just wait till their dentist does his annual checkups.
I read that one earlier as well. I'm not really sure what Michigan wants or expects from Harbaugh. This is a program that hasn't won an outright national title since 1948. Their lord and savior Bo usually had them out of contention by the end of September. I guess it mostly comes down to winning the Big Ten as the OSU game is soooooooooooooo much bigger to OSU than anybody in Michigan. I think seeing OSU win Big Ten titles and be competitive nationally has gotten them jealous, that's all I can figure. Otherwise he's Bo 2.0 except OSU doesn't have crap coaches anymore.
Wow, that was brutal, accurate and most enjoyable!
ANNUAL?!?!?! Anal maybe.....
...."is about as savvy a strategy as hiring Antonio Brown’s life coach."
Fat Phil Fulmer....
Mr. Krispy Kreme himself...
The ego is as huge as his gut!
Of course he'll wait until the meat of the schedule is gone until he crowns himself...
"King shit of turd hill "..
His self-proclaimed castle will come tumbling down...even farther, and the legacy of Phil Fulmer SHOULD fade into obscurity.
So... why would you fire a turd of a coach, who had lost touch with the game, in a bitter separation, and then put him in charge of your athletic department? Think about it
If Fulmer is still bitter over his previous departure, and was secretly intent on destroying Tennessee football, what would be be doing differently?
Agree. An enemy could not have done a better job of destroying Tenn football
Tennessee could have seen that he was a cancer as a result of his "retirement" and known that his involvement moving forward was dubious, or at least a cause for a pause when he "thinks" something. Or you could see that the college game changed and there was a reason why he was "retired" to begin with: his instincts were obsolete.
But in the end, this isn't so much about Phil the Donut Killer as it is MUCH more about the.....um.....Tennessee brain trust. It seems as if the brain trust has as many brains as the Tennessee dental offices have teeth. Or even less.
It's a true mystery! This is was happens when you let boosters run the athletic department.
