(Steve Bannon's defense attorney asked aloud: "What’s the point of going to trial if there are no defenses?”
The judge responded: "Agreed"
Nevertheless, Bannon has seven days to get ready to face a DC jury)

Bannon's contempt of Congress trial is still on schedule for next Monday.
Next pretrial hearing is Thursday.
