Let's keep it on topic, y'all. We've got a whole 'other thread dedicated to LeBron and his great big new Lakers contract. Feel free to discuss LBJ to your hearts' content...or until you can no longer avoiding insulting one another. :p

I’m done talking. You have your opinion, I have mine. Going back and forth is pointless since whatever I say won’t sink in and likewise.

Truth is Paul George isn’t as great of a player as people make him out to be and he disappears whenever his team needs him, for example his pathetic 6-point performance in a do-or-die game in the playoffs vs Utah this past season. He also choked Big time vs the Heat in game
7 of the 2013 ECF. Speaking of the Pacers, they’ve gotten better since they traded him.

I agree with you on this (hence why that original Gatorade commercial was so ironic). Of course, with Russ on the court the idea that PG with ever be called upon to take/make a last-second game-winner is moot anyway. Still, he was considered a top FA in the current market and the Lakers seemed to really want him which I guess says something if you trust Magic's ability to scout personnel...

Still, if I'm Billy or an OKC fan, I'd still wanna see them unload the great team-killing albatross and sign a legit big man if they're to have any hope of competing in the West.

Oh yeah. Since I've referenced it previously. Here's that Windhorst video on the PG 4-year deal with OKC:

They've gotta find a taker for Melo. But his $27 million will be difficult to move.

They have no more moves other than this and as long as Isiah Thomas isn't a current GM in the league, I don't think anyone would trade for Melo.

Can you imagine what OKC would be with Harden, KD and Russ? Billy would have two (more) rings by now.

Thunder have picked up Nerlens Noel. He will be a good backup to Steven Adams.

Lakers just signed Rondo. Another personality who won't take Lebron's criticism quietly.

As long as Westbrook plays like he has in the past in the playoffs, this team is a tease. Fine for regular season entertainment and that is about it.

The Melo signing was right up there with us signing Mac.

Melo never played D and only gave effort on one side of ball. Now he is an older jump shooter

I think it's not even close. The Melo deal hurts their ability to make deals or sign others.

With Mac, we lose some money.

Billy is probably not there if they don't botch the Harden situation.

Rondo the malcontent journeyman is now on his 6th different team in 5 seasons. Hall of Fame here he comes:emoji_trophy:

Borderline. If he stayed in Boston his entire career without getting hurt. I mentioned this before, I wonder if it will sink in this time.

That's assuming the Celtics would have even wanted him there for his entire career. Which they (along with 4 other NBA franchises now) clearly did not since he sets a terrible example for younger players. That's what happens when you're a piss-poor leader and locker room cancer who doesn't get along with teammates and can't shoot to save your life or make free throws, you get bounced around the league. Luckily for him Lebron doesn't hold grudges and mercifully threw him a bone.
