Opened up his own business. Well, I think he’s partners, but either way, here’s the link to his new place in Gainesville. Don’t know anything about it, maybe someone here checked it out?

Escape room places are generally a ton of fun.

Probably good business for Gville and lot of concentration of kids. Not a major market, but hope he does well

    Hmmm - Interesting.

Have any of you seen the Movie Ready Player One?

Today, escape is the pattern of behavior, and this has always been a very Human thing. Historically, people escaped into Theater, Fairs, Story Telling, Circuses, Epic Poetry, later, into Short Stories and later Novels (Dubrovsky by Puskin, 1804, the first Novella), and then into Movies, later the Idiot Box, and today into various media forms of stimuli. The VR world is not dissimilar from the Ready Player One construct.

A week or so ago Patrick was on with Steve Russell talking basketball and promoting his new venture,it is a partnership (if I remember correctly) and from what PY said I think it would have a strong appeal for students and younger professionals. I wish him well he was a terrific Gator athlete while playing here.

Its a room that you try to escape from. Its $35 per player, up to 8 players in a room. You get one hour. That's as much as you are allowed to know.

My 26 year old electrical engineer son does this and lives in DC. He loves it.

    Not my thing.

I's rather play bridge and I was pretty good at that once.

Sounds like your other hobbies include telling kids to get off your lawn and complaining about the price of foodstuffs.

They are themed rooms that you have to solve clues in to get out of the room within a allotted time. They are fun - the last one I went to had these choices...

Wow, closet intellectuals! I was (am?) a way better bridge player than a ⛹️. Don’t think they have a icon for a bridge player?

Maybe I should sharpen up my game and get a NBN duplicate tournament going.
