I saw a tweet from FBH that said he is expected to make a full recovery. I'll see if I can find it

This dude has to be in the top five of infectious Gator basketball personalities. He's intelligent, handsome, killer athlete who exerted the highest possible effort on and off the court. He's the model for what all Gator athletes should be.

I'm sorry not to have posted on this earlier and am so happy to read that the Drs. expect a full recovery. Can't think of a Gator I'd root for in life more than PY.

Crazy he was not wearing his seatbelt in this day and age. Thankfully he will pull through.

Just loved how Patric was making a name for himself as a commentator. Loved his work. Patric makes my top 5 Gator hoopsters easily.

Florida Basketball Hour -- a good twitter account to follow for Gator Basketball info. I posted the tweet...that a full recovery was expected.

I see Patrick's Twitter updates, but anyone know what his timeline for recovery is (i.e. 6 months, 1 yr). I see Apex mentioned Florida Basketball Hour said a full recovery is expected, which is great but seeing his pictures is heartbreaking. He seems extremely positive which is amazing. Really praying for him and hoping he can make a full recovery.

I would be thrilled to be wrong, but if you read the gofundme page, it’s not nearly as optimistic as that. They are talking about retrofitting his car and house.

I don’t think that necessarily conflicts with anything about his long term prognosis. Just confirms the rehab will be long and arduous. Which if he had spinal damage isn’t surprising. Assuming his prognosis is indeed “full recovery”, he may still effectively need to learn to walk again. They may be speaking more in terms of his regaining motion in terms of full recovery, not that he’ll be 100% as he was. After a spinal injury where he apparently lost feeling, getting walking again would be a huge win.

like I said, I would be thrilled if that’s the case and he has a path back to a full recovery.

Do you know if he's still expected to make a full recovery? Heartbreaking seeing him on Twitter. Really pulling for him.
