Simple tonight--grilling cheeseburgers--Saturday I'll be smoking Boston Butt all day with the expected trimmings to go with...
It's 45 and raining here. That spells home made chili over rice with fine shredded sharp cheese on top accompanied as always by the appropriate number of ice col'longnecks.
I ate leftovers tonight before going to the baseball game. Last night I made chicken breasts with a sauce composed of plum tomatoes (boiled for 10 seconds and then peeled and chopped), chicken broth, sauteed garlic, anchovies, white wine, butter, and thinly sliced kalamata olives. I wish that I had some fresh basil to chop up to sprinkle over it. It's time to plant some soon. Maybe after the latest cold weather passes. If it is still cold on Thursday I just might make posole rojo when I take the afternoon off to watch basketball. It is a lot of work, but so good.
