Haven't followed recruiting that closely this year, but pretty surprised at the lack of recruits from the state of Florida.

Many of us said that two years ago and then last year. Some disagreed but it was the ( portal) way to go

The final depth of the class will still include portal transfers and NSD signees when all is said and done. Of course this is the bulk of the young talent, but, it's not the final state.

Misery loves company. Especially in a paradigm shift that involves "amateur" "kids" earning a living off the tips of the consumer in a multi billion dollar industry. It's equivalent to a Lowes fan being pissed off at Home Depots market share while tipping 20% in the self checkout lane.
Most of you might be insane.
    Billy gets 5 years.
If he focuses on being the CEO.
F two thirds of these HSers. Buy em in 2 years when their free waiver is spent and they've learned how to run through the foam arms.
That would involve a separate paradigm shift for a "flagship" program that's a laggard in spending. Perhaps they will spend it more freely with your money?

Pretty much any coach could’ve done that or better. It’s inevitable what’s going to happen at this point. Sucks.

First, what do you mean by "we're"?

Anyway, interesting how ignorant power whiners are. The poster you responded to said "average star rating". So, on that chart you need to click on the "avg" column to sort by average star rating.

It's gonna get ticky for you now because it will list the teams from highest to lowest, but wont designate where they're ranked. You'll neeed to count it down yourself. I understand that's dificult for you, so I will confirm for you the poster you quted was correct.

It’s simple, we need to win on the field in ‘24. Time to load up players ready to contribute from portal.

Just read an article in the TBT saying of the 8 blue chip players that went elsewhere, collectively they would rank the 62nd class between Utah and Washington St

Yep. Billy's 1st recruiting class, which had to be patched together and understandably wasn't elite, finished with a composite ranking of 18th, his transfer signing ranking 20th. Last year's class was ranked 13th, transfer ranking 18th. This year's composite ranking is 16th, transfer ranking so far is 38th, but hopefully we pick up several more guys who can contribute. The scarier part is how many SEC team are ranked ahead of us. This year it's 8, plus Miami & FSU.

The power whining about rankings is so myopic.

The rankings are based on the accumulation of rated HS talent. The average ranking of the prospect (which UF ranks very high the last two years) and fillings needs (again, UF does a good job) are secondary to mass.

CBN has filled the roster with top talent at each position of need the last two years. So, bellyache about something else, people.

Not bellyaching to register concern. Over the last three years Kirby Smart has stacked 84 recruits. Over than same span Billy has stacked 61 and is down to 48 after attrition. And the talent wasn’t evident based on results to date.

I asked Shane Matthews, and Steve Russell on their radio. Show why we were struggling so mightily. They answered in unison the level of talent on the field. You can have the greatest coaching in the world but if you don’t have the horses you weren’t gonna be winning anything.

There’s currently unlimited free waivers until we get more clarity.
