There are plenty of ways to generate more revenue/taxes. Especially in a state like Florida that has millions of visitors/vacationers come into the state every single year.

 

So your plan is that everybody will just charge eachother's residents taxes so that their residents have to pay taxes to other states, not their own states?

 

Funny although George Washington had the dignity never to wear apparel even remotely similar to that dumb ass hat.

You really think we need either tax? It can be done without the need to an income tax. And this property tax elimination would only be for a smallish segment of people that own homes, or that have mortgages on a single family home. I'm NOT talking about all building structures nor multifamily living structures... Nor am I talking about other investment properties. I would be only for single family homesteaded properties. In Florida, we can make the tourists pay that added tax.

 

Florida is growing fast enough as it is. You're talking about giving away the farm, when we're already much better than just about anywhere else.

But at least you're not proposing income tax. That's not good for business, and we should be targeting more productive business, and pear back on the service industry, imho, as we're skewed heavily towards services, while our formerly highly respectable Ag industry, continues to dwindle.

We should up our game in tech (targeting) substantially. Imho.

 

Tell me something. Do you think it's fair for someone to pay on a mortgage for 30 or more years and then have to pay taxes just to own it? And if you get behind on said taxes the county or state can take your property away?

The way it's set up, with property taxes, you never really own your home. Does that seem fair? Does that even seem Capitalist... or part of a Constitutional Republic? You never really (fully) own your own home... that's nuts.

I agree that he has serious guts (or possibly believes his own stories about how his actions can’t have any bad impacts).

Though I would say that the same was true when Biden removed all our forces from Afghanistan after Trump had promised it, and I don’t recall any conservatives giving him credit at the time.

 

There are many ways to generate enough taxes... the newer the area the more they should pay in sales taxes, since they are the ones using NEW roads and sending their kids to new schools. Besides that there are plenty of businesses and tourists that can pick up the revenue slack of these older mortgages and homeowners.

Like I said this is NOT for business buildings, multifamily structures and second homes that can pony up their fair share. This is for a smallish sector that use their one home as their only place of residence.

There has to be a more fair way to be able to pay off a 30-year mortgage and then get own your home without eldless home taxation that makes your home more like a rental than homeownership.

Do you give Biden credit for Trump's pressure on the then government of Afghanistan to release 5,000 Taliban prisoners some of whom were designated as terrorists and some of whom joined the fight against the government? Do you given Biden credit for the May 31, 2021 date negotiated by Trump for the withdrawal of all US troops? Although it also applies to Biden, should have he receive the credit Trump's decision in 2020 to reduce the number of US troops in Afghanistan below number necessary to provide security for an orderly withdrawal against the recommendation of his own generals?

While we're at it, should Biden receive the credit for Trump's decision to deny the then government of Afghanistan a seat at the table when the US was negotiating directly with the Taliban for the withdrawal of US troops?

 

The tourists that MAGA said we don’t need or the tourists whose countries Trump threatened (Canada, Europe, Mexico, basically everyone except Russia, his favorite)?
