Listening to the FV podcast with nine of our players. They are very happy with the smaller 18 player roster.

 

I checked my app today and I see that softball tickets have been issued. I did not get an email telling me so.

 

FYI. Softball America just came out with their preseason poll and they have ranked the Gators at #10. Gators are scheduled to play nine games against four teams ranked in front of them. #4 Tenn -3, #6 FSU -2, #7 Ark -3, #8 UCLA -1. Go Gators.

And now those of us who aren't season ticket holders anxiously wait for the lucky ones to list the games they can't attend for resale...

Some of my tickets will be for sale, but I haven’t set the price yet. I’m waiting to hear from the ticket office to tell me what they charge for conference games and what they charge for nonconference games. They’re supposed to let me know.

 

Florida Gators Softball Roundtable: Part 2

 

I just got off the phone with the ticket office. Single Game tickets this year are now $43 for conference games and $21.50 for non-conference games. This is the price the ticket office would charge.

 

Am I hallucinating?

I kinda remember in years past that we had a game most Wednesdays, against some non-conference or other random team.

With the tickets actually being dropped into everyone's account today, does this mean the schedule is set? Or will Wednesday games be added? In March, for example, there is only one Wednesday game set.

Do I have hopes of my Wednesdays being filled with softball games not currently on the schedule or is this it?

I think there is a chance more games could be added. If I remember correctly, that has been done before.

 

I’d like to see Tim add some games with teams that went to the Clearwater invitational and other in Florida tournaments.

 

Nichole is on my list of all-time favorite Gator Softball players (my list is long)

 

Well, it was said that we can't schedule good teams in February since they don't want to play tough games. Which sort of makes absolutely no sense whatsoever since these teams are willing to play in the very elite level Clearwater tournament. But....whatever excuses that can be made, I guess.

Got to thinking, which is usually dangerous, but do we pay teams to play in our February tournaments? If so, any idea how much? Perhaps we don't pay much and that, plus no streaming, could be a deal breaker for attracting better teams. Just searching for answers to our poor scheduling.
