Didn't football have walk-on try-outs a few years back when we were desperate for a kicker? And as I recall, it worked out great.

 

Why not? You never know what HS/collegiate players would show up for a workout and lunch

 

Baseball is/was holding open tryouts for a catcher too.

John James walked-on in 1969 under Ray Graves and punted for three years for the Gators and went on to a pro career with the Falcons and was All Pro three times.

 

Michelle Moultrie was a walk on and she turned out to be a great player for Florida. Hopefully Florida will find another Michelle in the form of a pitcher.

 

Somehow I can't find the post Ocala is speaking about but I'm guessing it is about Carissquilo (probably butchered that spelling) who has a story that always confused me. She has gotten some great pub over the years but didn't seem to be getting any offers. Very checkered travel history also. I have seen her play a little. Couple years ago she was on the Lady Dukes with Keagan. But she hardly played as she was a back up catcher to Lilly Valimont who I think is headed to Michigan after decomitting from Northwestern. She just disappeared from them mid-season. I don't know if they asked her to leave or if she left because of no playing time. She then went out to California with the Batbusters-Stith but apparently not really as a full time player. She did behind the scene duties while supposedly training with them. I only saw her getting a couple scattered pinch hitting opportunities with them. Just this morning I received a tweet about her indicating she had signed with Liberty. I think, could be wrong, she is class 2023 which is really late to finally find a home for someone supposedly of at least some talent. Perhaps some or all of this is in whatever article Ocala was mentioning but I can't find the original post. Anyway, her situation always caused me to wonder what was going on with her.

Gator day at the lake. I love these pics every year but sometimes struggle to ID each of them when they are very far removed from looking like players in uniform. I think I've got them all correct this year. Not positive.

 

Finding that post number is impressive

 

I missed one game all year and can't figure out any of them! This is our team, right?

 

I had to strain my eyes and look at other photos when they were all cleaned up. I “think” I can ID most of them. lol

 

I'm throwing down a challenge cuz I'd like to know -- can you list?

 

I'll take a shot. There are two I'm not sure about. On the waverunner from back to front I think is Jocey and then Mia. The girl holding the handle bars is the one I'm not sure about. It might be Kendra but her arms look too big for Kendra so I'm not sure. In the upper right photo, it is clearly Keagan on the right but I'm not sure about on the left. Might be Reagan. The bottom right photo I'm pretty sure from left to right is Avery, Ava, Alyssa.....and Brooke? So I guess with that last one it would make three I'm struggling with.
