Just wanted to create a thread on it so we'll have something to come to talk about the OL targets, offer, etc.

    2018 signees:

    OT - Richard Gouraige
    OT - Noah Banks (injured?)
    OG/OT - Chris Bleich
    C - Griffin McDowell

    2019 signees:

    OT - Mike Tarquin
    OT/OG - William Harrod
    OG - Riley Simonds
    C - Kingsley Eguakun
    OT - Ethan White
    OG - Deyavie Hammond (academics?)
    OG - Wardrick Wilson (academics?)

    2020 current pledges:

    OG - Jovens Janvier 6'3 350
    OT - Gerald Mincey 6'5 324

    2020 (assumed) Targets:

4* OT - Marcus Dumervil 6'5 300 (St. Thomas Aquinas)
    4* OT - Issiah Walker 6'4 300 (Norland HS)
    4* OG/OT - Aaryn Parks 6'5 320 (National Christian Academy)
    3* OG - Richard Leonard 6'2 320 (Cocoa HS)

Definitely feel that Walker is Miami bound and that we snag Leonard who's set to announce his choice this Friday 7/3.

I spoke on him in my last paragraph. From all that i'm hearing, he's Miami bound. Miami is shaping up to have one helluva blue chip OL for the 2020 class.

You should be wanting us to get Dumervil more than Walker too. Walker is a great prospect but Dumervil is better. We gotta work OT to get him from wanting to go out of state as Blake Alderman recently said Dumervil wants to do

From everything I’ve read, Dumervil has been the best OL at The Opening this week, holding his own against the top DL in the country. You have to hope his HS teammate, and our new pledge, Wingo, is in his ear everyday about the opportunity he would have at UF. Would be great to see some more STA guys starting to stay home as well, being one of the premier HS programs in the state. Mullen has said recruiting is going to be more Florida focused, so let’s see it!

Who knows how this next year will play out on our line with the inexperience, but he would have a chance to make an impact early IMHO.

    From 24/7 coverage...

“Perhaps no prospect had a tougher task in front of him on Tuesday than Dumervil. He had to face the No. 1 player in the country in 2020 (Bresee). He had to face what might be the No. 1 player in the country in 2021 (the aforementioned Foreman). He also faced off against Chantz Willliams and BJ Ojulari, two of the most athletic pass-rushers in the country. Despite that stiff competition, Dumervil posted what we tabulated as a sterling win-loss record of 8-3-1. He’s a massive offensive lineman that plays with great feet and balance. He was never overpowered, rarely beaten with speed and he wasn’t falling for any tricks like Bresee’s fake spin move.“

    Sign him up!!

Right @chuckgator. we HAVE to do all that we can to get him on campus first and then we go from there. Not sure who his primary recruiter is, but he can't drop the ball with this one. We NEED blue chippers on the OL

Thanks, dude. Two year rolling sets really iare the only way to accurately evaluate how things are going in recruiting. As much fun the hype around stars, team rankings, and assistant coach recruiting rankings are, in a given year they don't really shed much light on where a program actually stands.

Agree....the footage I saw from the Opening (OL vs DL) showed Parks holding his own as well against Bresee and others

Supposedly Wilson is not an academic issue and will be in before the add/drop ends, but Hammond may be an academic issue.

What I read on the Opening made it sound like speed rushers were not besting OT as much this year, which seems unusual. Maybe this is not a great year for rushers. I think we will be glad to have Dexter (high ceiling on physical development but raw) over Bresee (very polished but maxed out physically).

Perhaps but have to see how their season goes and which commits stick. I predict our season, direction, course and speed looks better to recruits willing to open their mind to UF. At the moment Miami looks to have a 2 star, a 3 star, and a 4 star OL committed.
