This is why I hate sitting guys for a long time that are in foul trouble. Hayes finished with 3 fouls.

20 to 15 on fouls was the difference

Despite the calls, we still had chances. Had Cheese miss that lay-up at the basket, Stone should have shot the open 3 , Egor rushed a shot after a steal by Cheese and shot it off-balance, and then Stone of course got fouled on a breakaway dunk.

In spite of what some of you are saying our guys played hard today. We have several good looks that simply would not fall during the game and although that happens at times it was too close of a game with less than stellar officiating to overcome I am not disappointed in their play at all today.

I think he's trying to help you understand what you described as "the lack of team."

And? 4 of those guys are frontcourt players...i.e. Why we have no halfcourt game you say we don't have..

Would love to give Ole Miss credit for a well played game, but the officiating was so biased and bad the last few minutes, we had no chance.

Won’t do a bit of good to send in the tape. They will NEVER throw the officials under the bus, no matter how much they deserve it. Until they start publicly repremanding them for their screw-ups by having them miss games, nothing is going to change.

    Edit:

Florida will definitely see this same group of refs in the future, and when they are there for the UK game at Rupp, you can rest assured that the fix is on.

And they gave the ball to them when clearly our guy was not out of bounds and he got fouled too..did they score on that supposed "turn over"

The "great" block on Stone's dunk pretty much summed up the game. lol

And to OM's credit they shot it well from the FT line which was projected to be a (big) Gators' advantage coming into the game.

I'm going to say this one time. For those of you who only show up to heap criticism on the team after a loss you might want to stay off this forum.

Team was not nearly sharp enough to win a conference road game, and did not play with enough tenacity on defense. On to the next one.

Look. It's something else. There is no chemistry and it has nothing to do with 3 frontcourt players. It looked like a stroll in the park offense and 5 guys going through the motions. There just isnt that thing.

I have played, coached, watched for 50 years now and this team just may go on another losing streak very soon. it shows big time.

The above was not aimed at our regular posters who are frustrated with the loss but rather with a couple of people who have mysteriously showed up.

I'm sorry that you've been unable to watch any previous league games because I assure you they didn't look lost or "stroll in the park" offensively Wednesday night. Maybe you can find a replay of that MSU game somewhere online. ;)
Either way, urge you not to rush to judgement on the team based on a viewing a single game.

I was listening in the car. Mick was not happy about some of the fouls. I think we'll be OK. We played out of whack a bit today. It happens.

Good effort, but we weren't sharp at all. Sometimes that happens on the road, would have been nice to pull it off despite all that was working against us.

Now the next few home games are doubly important with our record where it's at. You can afford to drop a random game on the road, just don't do it at home. Obviously the Arkansas game is 100% must win. Realistically, every home game the rest of the way is "must win", unless this team are going to steal a win at Rupp or win at least 4 of the other 5 road games. But if our road record the rest of the way is more like 2-4 or 3-3, we better run the table at home or we might have to sweat selection Sunday. Certainly if we want to keep hoping for an advantageous seed every win is important.
