That's a lot of walk off wins in one season. Seems like at least 5 or 6.

Awesome! Poor Texas A&M on the losing end of another thriller at KSP park. Hats off to them for not quitting and being a more than worthy opponent.

2 championships this weekend for the lady Gators-softball and lacrosse. Yes, I do watch the lacrosse games.

I don't know how we can be conference champs as along as there's another team that ended up with the same record.

    We are co-champs.

Quit the elaboration - it's not needed. Co-champs is a hell of an honor, alone.

And for heaven's sake....give our fellow co-champ a little credit. Congrats to Arkansas for winning the conference - along with Florida - for the first time ever!

    On ya, ladies! :)

Agreed -- props to Arkansas, nice to see an "outsider" do so well.

But there's a tie-breaker system. And WE have the tie-breaker. So yes, technically "co-champs," but Arkansas gets the asterisk, not us.

I thought the tie-breaker was just to decide the seeding in the tournament.

Not worth arguing over - I just hate to see us trying to hog all the glory and not recognize the other program.

It seems like each comeback was incrementally more improbable than the previous comeback. 1 run behind in the 5th, and we come back. Then 1 run behind in the 6th, and we come back. Then 2 runs behind in the 6th...At least that's how it's felt. Also, I haven't watched any UCLA games this season (and Rachel Garcia has returned), so I can only judge by their conference strength and stats that they will be tough to beat. I have watched Oklahoma and IMHO their stats (batting averages, ERA) are so scary impressive due to them having a very weak SOS and playing in a weak conference (Oklahoma and Oklahoma St then a big drop off). The Sooners are beatable. Having to play “super regional-like” series for the last 8-10 weekends in the SEC will bode extremely well for the Gators. Especially this season with COVID forcing most schools playing a nearly exclusive conference-only schedule.

Since I was at the game, I watched this play on TV replay to see exactly what happened. The TV announcers made light of the fact that in the celebration Cottrill was bumped by Echols.

At KSP it was much much different. It was a pretty hard shot to the head and Cottrill was clearly woozy. The trainer ran out and Cottrill was helped from the field by having her arms around teammates on each side to walk off. None of that was shown on TV.

She swapped Wilkie who came in to handle catching duties.

Having been clobbered and had her bell rung just a couple innings earlier, makes Cottrill's walk off all the more impressive.
