It will be YouTube soon and if you use the watch ESPN app it will be on there.
We all want our team to be competitive and tonight they were that in spades.
Appleby, Glover, and Payne. Like to see how many steals Appleby had. He, Payne, and Duruji are just or were so active tonight.
Tennessee vs. Florida - Box Score - January 19, 2021 - ESPN
Crazy! Let's hope they keep this momentum going and build it into a season that the team is proud of and deserves.
That was a very pleasant surprise.
When you play hard nosed defense, somehow everything seems to come together.
It just makes me wonder why they can play with that type of effort one game and look like zombies in another. Crazy game. The team seemed to play a lot more confident when they felt they had nothing to lose.
Appleby & Glover had 3 steals each.
Duruji, Mann, Locke, Jitoboh & Lane had 1 each.
Payne with 5 blocks.
Need to keep the focus, at georgia next.
I said it in the game when they went into that lull in the 2nd half and I think it is worth repeating. They appear to play much better when they are not thinking so much but rather just letting the flow of the game come to them. That happens a lot in sports.
I think Payne earned a starting spot tonight.
That may be one of the best troll jobs I have ever seen.
For those not keeping score, UT was giving recruits money in McDonald's bags...lol
I agree 100%.
Taking nothing away from the Gators, the Vols played like zombies for much of the game. No sense of urgency, even as time was slipping away.
Shout out to Noah Locke. He might not had the best stats but with 3 starters down and Mann sitting most of the first half, Locke stayed on the court probably the whole game. Many players deserve individual credit and this was a team win, but don't overlook the quiet leader on the court tonight.
Went to the game, and was pleasantly surprised.
Question though...have we ever seen a freshman class that plays with such nerves?
Most of that can be attributed to the way the Gators took the game to them. Basically, they got punched in the mouth and couldn't recover. They're a very good team and they will bounce back.
