All season it seems like Keagan's tank nears empty after four or five innings. I wish CTW would lean into that and just take her out prospectively and not wait for the wheels to fall off.

Did uga show all their arms with the exception of Lilli backes today?

With all the time she missed the stamina just isn’t there. That said I’ll take five good innings from her at this point and trust in Ava shutting the door and the offense and defense backing her up.

I thought they would start her today, definitely see her tomorrow. Hopefully we run her out of the circle after two innings.

I don't like the KR had to throw 115 pitches, she would have been under 80 had we plated those 2 in the fifth. She hasn’t had to throw 200 plus pitches in a weekend since last year I don’t think, so it makes these last two games (hopefully one) a bit more iffy.
But getting out 1-0 really puts us in the drivers seat, and they have shown us 2 of their three best pitchers, so just hit them hard again tomorrow and close this thing out.

Believe me, many fans, including me, were calling for CTW to pull her.
But, he let her gut it out, and NOW, I am glad he did.
I think he did today like he did in the last game.
He showed confidence in players, and they came through.
Who, but him, in their wildest dreams, would have seen Liv and Makenna coming in and finishing that game?
Likewise, he let Keagan know he had confidence that she could finish.
As we all say, that is why he has over 1,000 more wins than we do.
I believe it will pay off this postseason.

Yes - We'll see Backes tomorrow, but they started the lefty today because LHP have caused us trouble all year.

Building her stamina, confidence and resilience. Until today, I thought he kept her in just long enough to get in trouble. Today, it seemed like the right call. My only concern was her blister.

I said lots of bad words before I realized Rothrock had just called for the trainer because of a blister. She seemed really settled and confident in her post-game interview, and I think a lot of that came from her pushing through like she did today.

Maybe Georgia forgot their other uniforms and will have to sweat it out in all black again tomorrow. They annoy me so bad, and some of their girls just come off as plain bratty. I try not to call out players by name on here because most of them are just kids, but Dallis Goodnight must be about 28 by now so I don’t mind saying that she is one of the worst offenders.

Also… I forgot my sunscreen today, so I used some from the jug by the cooling station. Pretty sure I’m having an allergic reaction. So I’ll be the one covered in huge hives at tomorrow’s game if you want to say hi!

Athletic trainer Kaitlyn Towers will do her magic on the blister and Keagan will be fine.

Backes is also a lefty, so hopefully we are able to punch early.

These things are why he’s the best coach in the game imo. He knows the game but more valuable he knows the players and how to get the best out of all of them.
