(SB) OGT : SEC Tournament UF vs Ole Miss May 7, 2025 5 pm SEC N

I think it might be more difficult to win this tournament than the WCWS. There are a bunch of really good teams in the SEC and if you loose one you are done. No room for error.

 

And I'm not sure if it's even worth the energy given we surely have a top 8 seed. Given the difficulty of the last few weeks I won't complain about only a game or 2 at SEC tourney

 

Yep - They're all competitors and want to win, but to me this tournament is more about fun and staying sharp for the NCAA tournament - May Madness!!

 

I would roll out Red to start first game, give her some postseason work....and try and get her back in form

 

That's my thinking as well. She needs a confidence boost

 

I don't know..... we've got momentum right now and once you get momentum you wanna ride either as long as possible. Last years a great example.

 

But last year's tourney was a cake walk vs the gauntlet this year

 

It's never a cake walk.

 

I said vs this year.....and last year's field doesn't compare to this one. WCWS compares to this field

 

Either way we still want to win it lol. Wcws is this field. If we don't win it it's not a big deal but we need to see if a new pitcher like Red can step up in this environment of one and done. And other players.... Taylor, Rylee, Kenleigh.

 

Fully expect to play Ole Miss again.

Those Mizzou folks arent too good in diamond sports it seems. Both softball and baseball last in SEC with losing records and no Ncaas.

 

Gotta love the fact that Bama has to play in the first round. War Eagle

I imagine we see binford or their freshmen pitcher who we both hit good in the regular season. The pitcher today pitched really good, so I would not be surprised to see her but she did pitch over 100 pitches in the middle of the day. Hopefully the rain stays away.

 

Id bet we see Lopez who we struggled with.

 

Hope our girls come out fiery.

 

the lefty lopez gets the start. Last time we faced her we didn't get to her till the 6th and 7th innings against her where we scored all 6 runs and got 5 of our 9 hits.
