I agree on Mikic. Would like to see him get more time as the 4th big off the bench like Adrian Moss or Maresse Speights when they were playing behind Horford, Noah and Richard, rather than sliding Haugh over to the 4. It's a long season. Don't need Haugh playing 30 minutes at the 3 and 8 minutes at the 4 and wearing down over the course of the season. I wonder if Mikic can shoot 3s.

Mikic has some game. Hope he gets more chances
To show his game which he may have the smoothest three point stroke of the bigs. His defense, ball handling looked good. My two cents is that he get stronger with more time in the weight room, shorten his hair, leave the beard and let his game develop. This kid can help this team!
Remember he came across the pond to be in Gainseville, he has determination to succeed. Here’s pulling for you Viktor!

I think Isaiah earned more minutes tonight and down the road. He looks smooth and doesn’t rush his shot. Great minutes tonight!

Lloyd looked young but has a good handle and a nice shot. He needs to get stronger and get used to being a good teammate while on the court. as he needs to learn not to force everything when he gets the ball and use his nice shot when open. He seemed to be rushing his shot, slow down and give us sweet string music, LOL. This kid with time is going to turn heads, Get’um Alex!

Where was AJ Brown? Did I miss him?

Urban right now reminds me of a play on a quote from animal house: short, poor defense, and can’t shoot is no way to go through son.” Hoping he turns it on - has to be a plus offensively because his D is so shaky (not from lack of effort).

I thought that we generally played better with Brown in the game but there's just not enough possessions to tell what he brings.

I want Xavier and Boogie to clean up their handle. Both seem to play loose with the ball in their hands, tend to make too many one hand passes, vs making an assertive pass. So far its clear, Xavier can't shoot off the dribble, he needs to set his feet, catch the ball and shoot.
Boogie must be banged up, kid needs to step up his game - maybe he is rusty, but it's going to get harder if we can't knock down the 3 ball, teams are going to pack it in, and make us beat them from the outside.

Speaking as someone with very little hair left, I say to you... he can have his hair as long as he wants, as long as he doesn't trip over it.

Looking back, he started last year way off target. Couldn't hit the floor with his hat. Once he got settled into game action, he shot it very well. I'm hoping it's just the same slow start for him.

And since you brought Animal House into it... did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? NO!

I expect Lee and Fland to settle in and have good years. They're both likely feeling some pressure to live up to their hype and replace champions. Lee was a huge unknown but has looked good. I think he's got high potential. But both have to make 3s.

Handlogten, Condon and Haugh are quite the trio and are going to dominate most everyone. Chinyelu I would insert for muscle when needed.

Most impressive to me was Condon's interview after the game. He opened by apologizing to Gator Nation for his poor play against Zona. He explained that he had put in so much work but did not perform. Pure class act.
I think he will be fine!
