This was not bound to be a happy ending. Oh well. Look fwd to having a tougher, smarter, and more skilled group of Gators soon. Our program is much better than this.

DAMMIT! I had the Gators +10.5. If Hudson had not miffed on that last shot, I would have had the cover!!!:mad::mad:

If we are ever going to beat a top 25 team this year the entire roster has to contribute in the game. We stay close and can play with just about anyone, but to avoid droughts guys like Okaru and Ballard and Bassett have to contribute when they get minutes. I still think we have an outside shot at 9-9 in the league, but we are going to have to beat someone with a pulse, which means a more complete team effort eventually needs to happen.

Not sure why he doesn't get fed more.....I'm no expert but he's one of our best shooters and since we don't have the size to go inside like we'd like we are forced to go with outside shooting more. He should get the ball more.

Respectfully, he shouldn't have to at the center position. He should be catching the ball out from the block and dishing. He should be following dribble drivers and catching dump-offs or following misses. Instead, he's stuck down low as a center and not able to use his agility.
As you say, he's a great kid. He's fallen victim to a thin front court.

Maybe Davis, but I think he fumbles those dump offs. Not sure how to coach that either.
One thing I know, he has given his ll as a Gator and he gets my respect for that.

Those three you mentioned only played about 8-11 minutes each and took only two shots each. It's probably our point guard (who played 38 minutes with only 2 points) that needed to score more in this game. Hudson (15 pts), Lockes (17 pts) and Allen (12 pts) scored in double figures. However, Allen did not have one of his more higher scoring games either.

Once Tre Mann takes over his spot next year we'll actually have an offense.

Kevarius Hayes managed to give four healthy years for Florida; he just didn't have too many other healthy, teammates on the front-court to give him more help. Hayes is a great athlete but just could not get the job done all by himself.

It will be nice having two good point guards on the team again to take the load off each of them. When Florida had Casey Hill and Chris Chiozza (or Wilbekin/Hill), they were a formidable duo. However, Florida will still need more help on their front-court. Hopefully, an experienced transfer could provide the help.

  20. If you had told me we would out rebound them and that Hudson would score 15, I would have thought we would win.
