Playing a lot of reserves at this point.

Backups letting it get closer. These are good minutes for the backups, though.

CMW put in the bench players earlier than he usually has. I think that is different and a good thing.

Very disappointed with the offense. Just thought it would be better. They do hustle but just not great players. It is what it is

This was a great first game with this group.

It wasn't perfect, but the hustle and energy was there. The defense was on point.

    Beat FSU. Go Gators!

Oh, I think they got out of rhythm in the second half. There was plenty to like there.

Tons of new players trying to gel. For better or worse we are like those Kentucky teams that hopefully really start to get it together as the season goes on.

    Was at the game.

Really good defensive energy in the first half, but it waned in the second.

Offense got sloppy and I was hoping White would try to call some set plays, but he just let them play.

Just guessing but I doubt he wanted to put any more on game field for the Noles to study than he had to.

Offense was really good for most of the first half. Obviously White gave the back-ups major minutes in the second half and their ineffective play, along with poor FT shooting from Castleton, allowed Elon to cut into the big lead.

Yep. Folks need to consider the bench got lots of quality minutes, which is far more important than letting the first 6 to 8 run up the score.

Very good first half, especially after the first few minutes.

McKissic didn't score much to my surprise after lighting it up in the exhibition game but he really impacted the game defensively forcing a number of turnovers. They won't show up as steals in the box score, but I am sure that White keeps track of these things.

Jones and Appleby were pretty good from deep.

Frustrating end to the second half with many reserves on the floor. Too many semi-contested three point attempts early in the shot clock when you have a big lead. No problem with those shots late in the shot clock <joke>or if you make them</joke>.

The game really shouldn't have been as close as the final score, but a W is a W.
