As Dandy Don used to sing on Monday Night Football, "Turn out the lights, the party's over." Unbelievable!!!'9-9 bases loaded, nobody out. Put a fork in us, we're done.

Yes, sorry guys and gals. I came on here and praised Riley for a nice job to that point. Well, as we know, no praise goes unpunished. We just don’t have an SEC quality stopper. It’s frustrating saying that over and over this season and last.

The pitching issues are on Tim Walton. He knew that Delbrey was going to have surgery after the WCWS and knew that Natalie Lugo was gone. Yet he didn't go out and get a quality pitcher or two in the portal. And there were a bunch of them that switched schools. He just didn't do what was necessary to give this year's team a chance to be competitive at the highest level.

We’ve got some great pitchers coming but still feel like we need a pitching ace to coach them up. Hoping this is the last season we’re helpless on the mound.

Actually our NIL didn't do what was necessary. OU outbid us for the Michigan pitcher

We have sub par pitching and that hasn’t changed. Not sure what it is, poor evaluation or just no development. But it’s on CW to get it fixed.

TW and his pitching staff should be embarrassed. He better hit the portal hard because nobody on this currenr staff is currently good enough to pitch for the Gators next year.

Will be honest, this is Waltons worst coaching job so far in his tenure at UF. Hopefully there is still some time to turn it around this year, but Waltons insistence in keeping this guy as pitching coach has just been asinine. I know people have been telling him he should replace his buddy for 2 years now and he has been too stubborn to do it.

our hitting is still not up to par either, we have been getting young ladies who have been known to hit pretty well but have not developed much. A lot of times I look at our girls and they are built like cheerleaders or distance runners instead of ball players.

Yes the pitching staff is unacceptably bad but I am still puzzled as to why TW did not challenge the call at 3rd base early in the 6th inning? The runner looked clearly out on the play. This is not the 1st time that I recall TW not using a review that on replay looked decidedly favorable for getting an overturn. In this case there was a better the even chance of saving a run and likely stemming the Tennessee momentum avavalance. Worse case you don't get the overturn. I just don't get the thought process there assuming there was one.

This has a lot of merit. The OU girls look like straight athletic beasts. Their athleticism is what just jumps out at you when you watch them play.

This one was hard to take. For real. The common denominator on this thread at the moment is spot on.

"The player development IS NOT THERE."

Looking back on it, as I said in an earlier post, UT gifted us about half a dozen runs with their sloppy play. But my gosh, we left about a dozen runners on base, most in scoring position and with a couple timely hits we still win comfortably even after the meltdown. But I agree with you, we don’t have a lot of clutch hitters on the squad currently

I won't be watching the Monday night game. It's going to be ugly, IMO.

Burke, I thought the same thing but when they showed it in slow motion the throw was a little to the outfield side of the bag and the UT base runner reached her hand in before the tag on other side of the bag. Also, the ref was standing right where he needed to see the hand and tag clearly. I was sure she was out before I saw the replay because the ball got there in plenty of time.
