Gators get 8th seed in SEC tournament. They will play Kentucky. If by some miracle they win they get Tennessee. Not a pretty picture.

Why Pollard and Roe are not starters is beyond me.

 

Kelsey Stewart wasted much of her Sr season slap hitting. Just not a fan of slap hitting with RISP.

 

Plus, they're projecting us being a #2 seed in the Tallahassee Regional. Not many games left, I imagine.

 

Especially after she slugged 2 triples yesterday. Geesh!

 

I guess they don't have it.

 

I was stunned that Kistler wasn’t able to trot home from third. Outfielder must have a cannon for an arm that she was able to recover so quickly. It looked like Walton made the right call as the catcher had the ball in front of home plate close enough to make the tag.

 

I totally agree about Roe being in the mix. She definitely deserves a shot to earn a position somewhere. Didn't look good in the couple of shots she had at 2nd this season, but didn't have much opportunity in live games either.

 

Walton’s worst season?

I do know that our pitching had to be the worst of his 18 seasons. Followed by untimely hitting.

Sure hope the next crop of recruits are as good as advertised. They can’t get here soon enough! Will there be enough of them to right the ship?

Agree...don't think 2b is a real option. She played a little 3b last year and seemed ok

 

CTW hopefully should be making a number of tough love decisions this off-season. Waltons worst season with the Gators if I’m not mistaken. Agree with those calling for a portal pitcher to help bridge the gap with the new crew of pitchers.

 

Very discouraging. Not only was it TW's worst season; the SEC coaches predicted Gators would win SEC and they finished 8th. What a fall from grace. Thank goodness the future looks very bright.

 

I just don’t see the fight and “I have your back, no matter what” mentality. They can take all the photo ops with each other they want. It’s not there. Maybe they are spoiled with the best of everything. Teams like FSU, Arkansas, A&M, SC…I could go on. They are cohesive teams. We are not.

 

100%. I think Florida didn't land an ace type of pitch this season and last season is because of the pitching coach.

 

Lexie Delbrey was the #2 rated pitching recruit in the nation when she came in last year. And we just signed the top 2 pitching recruits in the country who will be on campus soon. To me it's not so much recruiting as the problem, but player development. And that's totally on the coaches, especially on the pitching side.

 

Well, it looks like I’ll be safe to sell my OKC tickets this year. Made the mistake of selling them for 5X my cost on Super Regional Saturday last season but after today and a projected #2 seed in Tallahassee and Sandercock waiting, I’m pretty confident I’ll not be needing them.

Hopefully Bama, Texas, OSU and Clemson make it to OKC - they pay crazy money for tickets.
