This is a chance for Florida to even the SEC record and steal a game on the road. KA usually plays good in their venue and we could sure use it in this game. The Razorbacks won their conference opener by edging out Texas A&M 73-71.

    Records: Florida (8-5, 0-1); Arkansas (10-3, 1-0)

    STAKES (The Setup)
Bud Walton Arena (19,200), home to Arkansas Razorbacks, figures to be rocking Wednesday night as the home team tries to go to 2-0 in the SEC.
A couple teams that had very different Southeastern Conference opening-day experiences. Florida lost 71-69 on a practically unfathomable 90-foot pass and buzzer-beating dunk at home to South Carolina, the only team in the league with a losing record. It was UF's first loss in a SEC debut since 2012. Arkansas went to Texas A&M and used a late offensive surge to take the lead and hold on for a 73-71 road victory, the likes of which are precious over the course of a league season. ... The Gators will try to avoid their first 0-2 start in conference play in nine years. ... Florida leads the all-time series against Arkansas, 23-12, but had an eight-game winning streak snapped in the last outing, March 9, 2018, when senior guard Jaylen Barford scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in an 80-72 win in quarterfinal play of the SEC Tournament at St. Louis. The Hogs shot 54 percent and scored 50 points in the second half of that one. ... Before the 2018 tournament game, the Gators had won 13 of the previous 14 in the series, dating to 2009, with the lone loss coming on the road in 2013. ... Florida is 5-1 against Arkansas under Coach Mike White.

White Wants More: "It Has to Come From Within"
Mike White had some of his most candid (and critical) remarks as Florida's coach Tuesday, as the Gators headed for Arkansas to face the Razorbacks in the SEC road opener.
UF Chris Harry / Senior Writer
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Three guys. Kevarrius Hayes, a senior, plus Andrew Nembhard and Noah Locke, a pair of freshmen. That's it. Those are the players on the Florida basketball roster who Coach Mike White said Tuesday he can count on — every day — when it comes to accountability, effort, intensity and competitiveness on both ends of the floor, whether things are going well or poorly.
    Three.
Reminder: There are 14 players on the team.

"There are a couple others that are really competitive, and if they make a shot, now all of a sudden, they might start playing with some confidence and they guard at a high level — if they make a shot," White said during one of his regular media sessions. "Then there are a couple others, if the wind is blowing the right way [or] the air conditioning is blowing the right way, they might play with their juices flowing. You just don't know. And there are a couple that might get off to a good start, and then if you yank 'em for making a mistake, or so-and-so doesn't get them the ball, their intensity level is going to [drop]."

    He wasn't done.

Most odds I've seen have this gave as even. This would be a really tough loss for both teams from my perspective as it seems like UF and Arkansas fans are worried about making the tournament (at times at least). Seems like it'd be a worse loss for Arkansas given that its a home game.

Gafford and how y'all try to match up with him will be interesting to watch from my perspective. He's what makes them unique.

I had South Carolina as an easy win and Arkansas as a probable loss due to how tough Bud Walton is.

If we win tonight, it makes a lot of the USC sting go away.

Along with the Tennessee, South Carolina (2-0) is leading the SEC standings. 2018-19 SEC Basketball Standings | ESPN

That was a devastating loss for Florida. All of the good that came from the Butler win previously is now a mystery. Arkansas could probably handle an early loss to the Gators.

Interesting, a 4-guard offense (Hudson, Allen, Nembhard, Locke) and Hayes in the middle.
