We had a better fg%than they did. We had a better 3% than they did. They had 4 more fouls than we did. It was at Vandy and it was still undecided with 6.1 seconds left! Great great win but kudos to Vandy as well. See y’all down the road

 

For me this is the biggest improvement since last year

 

Great game. Interesting stats, points in the paint were a lot closer than what I thought they would be, UF 40 Vandy 36. Three point % was closer too, but in our favor, UF 38% Vandy 36%.

 

If they had come to the O'Dome they would both have gotten L's on their record. Duke, too.

 

None of those teams want to see us again this season.

 

Wouldn't you know it? Guess where the SEC tourney is this year.

 

For some reason I’ve always disliked Vandy hoops as a UF fan. Maybe it is because I couldn’t stand there coaches. CM Newton - blah. Eddie Fogler- yuck. Stallings- probably disliked him more than any Vandy coach. Always whining and complaining. And I hate their arena. So, I love winning there and today was a big win.

 

I’m thinking more than at the start of the season.

I laughed also when looking at the back of his jersey.

 

Well said, shocked that we out-shot them from 3. And yes, kudos to Vandy, those mid-range shots were well-defended but they kept draining everything.

 

The refs and Shows are pathetic; takes the fun out of watching their feeble, egocentric minds control a game.

 

One might wonder how the mfr forgets the game jerseys but brings along replacement jersey’s just in case.

 

When was the last time you saw a three second call? We get two .

 

We were right there with them though too.

 

Despite the comical officiating, that was one of the most hard fought wins I’ve seen in a while, very reminiscent of last years team! We just refused to quit and kept on battling till the whistle. What a heroic victory in an aardvark arena with uneven officiating, as usual. Very proud of this team!

 

I was at the game. Gators showed out on the floor and in the stands. There were a lot of Gator fans. It got loud when Vandy had the ball.

 

Exactly what I was screaming! I think the last time I saw it called was when FSU won a natty in basketball! Then they go on and call two! I’m surprised we didn’t get called for a flagrant and five technical foul for an equipment violation in the last two seconds.

 

just rewatched it and man there was a lot of hacking inside by them that wasn't called. They negated a lot of our interior passing by hanging on the guy we were trying to pass to then mugging him when he got the ball. But we still won!

 

Now #9 in kenpom.com, 2 ahead of Vandy as top SEC team -- with 5 losses! #11 offense, #10 defense, #4 schedule.
