There is a process but nothing good comes from it. You actually need the media to highlight it for you but they won't since it is Duke. Florida is an elite basketball program now so it would only hurt us by publicly crying about the officiating

Personally I don't think we were "supposed" to win it all last year and the refs are making our lives miserable. I hate to whine about officiating but I've never seen so many bad calls against the CHAMPS in my life. We are supposed to get the benefit. That's my 2cents take it FWIW

Lee needs to come off the bench for awhile and maybe that gives him a reset.... 5-3 now...

I really wanted to go. I'm only 3.5 hours away. I couldn't swallow the price for one ticket. Lol.

LSU is not ranked. I disagree we need to play an easier schedule. All the top teams play harder schedules. Uconn, Duke, UNC, Kentucky, etc.

True and most basketball people know it’s hard to get a fair shake up there so it’s pointless because it will never change. If one watched the game or replay closely, you will see just how much Duke players use their hands on every play to gain an advantage; similarly to when football teams DB’s are literally holding and grappling with receivers on every play. The officials can’t and won’t call this because they would have to throw a flag on every down. If you watched the Auburn Alabama game last Saturday night, Alabama’s offensive line was blatantly holding Auburn on most of their offensive downs. The “ sacred cows” in college and pros are very real.

Good game to watch...as long as you kept the mute on!

Lee needs time to sit if we need him to get right. Not sure what we can do as a team to overcome the outside shooting woes. He seems better suited to be the backup PG rather than the SG. We still need another wing player to step up...if Golden will let them audition. Probably a game we didn't want to do this. It is what it is.

Um Urban, you need to stop watching Haugh play. You are NOT 6-9. The drives into the trees without any idea except to juke the defense on the shot is pretty silly.

Still disappointed that Condon's game hasn't grown after the hope for his determination to get to the NBA.

Understand. I paid $225, was in the upper section but the place is so small, it was a great seat. Highly recommend.

    Right here
The ref clearly signals that the shot doesn’t count, and the whistle blows before he lets the shot go. The only thing that might explain it is if the continuation rules apply to fouls away from the ball. Perhaps the shot counts if the initiation of the act of shooting precedes the whistle, as happened here. But if not, you are absolutely right, that basket was bogus.

We can't whine about a hard schedule because Bama and Auburn are doing it too. Auburn so far has played Houston, St Johns and Michigan, easily besting our schedule so far. Bama has played an even harder schedule than us by far with St Johns, Purdue, Illinois, and Gonzaga. That's 4 of Bama's 1st 7 games against ranked opponents. We've actually had an easier schedule than both Bama and Auburn having faced just 2 ranked teams.

The handsy thing I get. Frustrating when the interpretation calls are not even. But given heritage, momentum, environment, etc... can begin to understand. Sucks when you are on the wrong end, but nobody complains when we are on the benefiting end. But that is not even what gets me.

    1. The foul on the floor before the shot on the 3 early in the game should not have counted, by rule. Should have been reviewed IMO. They review everything else that happens.
    2. The goal tending. By rule this should not have counted. This blatant and obvious non call is just ridiculous. Added to that, the general procedure with these is to call it, then review it at the next stop in play to get it right. But the non call gets compounded because now they can't even review it. Bonus content... Not one of the 3 refs felt inclined to call that goal tending either, yet how many cross court fantom calls were made?
    3. The F1 on Hough as a "hostile act" or whatever it was called. This had to be the WORST of the three. I get asking for the look because of the contact to the head, but the review was clear. Hough was making a basketball move and protecting his shot with his off arm, as happens 1000 times during every game. The Duke guy jumped into him.. and after plenty of time to look at it, and contemplate the call, the conclusion was "a hostile move"? Give me a break. Yeah, that is comparable to the loose ball scrum where the Duke guy not only raised his forearm up, but then accelerated the elbow forward into Micah's (I think) face.
All three: Inept, Bias, Placating, or Fraud. Pick whatever fits. +7 to the home team, directly by non-compliance by the refs.

Note, don't remember the Duke player's names. Honestly, not important enough for me to care to remember.

I love Todd’s truthfulness in his post game pressor.

"I told our guys, to win in a place like Cameron, you've got to outplay Duke by 10 points because you're not going to get any 50-50 calls. Things aren't going to go your way," Golden said. "We certainly had a little bit of that tonight.

Give it a minute and our schedule will one up everybody: Arizona, Duke, and UCONN. 3 of the top 5 and all 3 very much road games (even if only Duke is a “true” road game).

Personally I love to see it, at least when your team is good. While our backcourt troubles are real these other teams had to reload with new players as well. Hopefully it pays off later. SEC will be a grind so playing all cupcakes doesn’t help. Even if we go 0-3 against those 3 I don’t think would hurt us much, although it would be nice to get 1 “signature win” out of it. (and obviously we threw in the loss to TCU as well, which I suppose puts us at a deficit).

Of all of his great post games, this one is among his best; honest, sobering, positive.

I’m only 40 minutes away and really wanted to go, but I can’t pay the over $600 price tag for the cheapest ticket listed.

One last comment (and is even apropos against UConn):

You don't win a NC in December. But you can get better prepared.

The goal tend miss was egregious, but we had our hiccups as well. Condon lane violation when Duke missed a free throw. Gets another one, and of course makes it. Team needs to tighten up and we should be fine. Conference doesn’t look as good as last year, we should be able to do some damage.

I feel like Duke’s coach requested the Haugh one just out of spite because Golden rightfully called the one on them.
