I wonder if Vanderbilt gets stuck with Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas. Although with the current coach and NIL skewing possibilities, I wonder if they’re as reliable an easy out going forward as they historically have been.

Thats up to them, they have tge money to compete but have chosen not to in tge past. The price of putting talent on the roster has gone up tremendously so my answer is, i really doubt it.

You would still get a bottom feeder every year so long as the rest of the schedule is balanced correctly, an example for UF would be

two years of UGA, Tenn, AUB, Tex, LSU, Ole Miss, USCe, Vandy, Mizzou

Then two years of UGA, Tenn, AUB, Bama, TAMU, Arky, MSST, OU, UK

So long as they correctly balance the rest of the schedule the three you play every year does not matter as much.

All 15 other teams played home and away every 4 years. I am really excited for this possibility. I also dont really care which teams are the three with the exception of UGA, have to maintain that.

Three strong every year opponents is still a disadvantage.

Prefer Kentucky to Tennessee, after all KY has more wins over us in the past 20 years then the vaunted Vols ;)

Yeah and we don’t want KY every year. We’re like their freaking Super Bowl.

Recall back in 1991 when all we had to do was beat Kentucky at home the last SEC game of the season to FINALLY win our first undisputed legit SEC Championship — and they took us to the wire. I was there. Freakin Kentucky. No thanks to making them an every year game.

The Bullshit to Benefit ratio with Kentucky is over 1.0 — pass
