Next year would be TJ Moore's 3rd collegiate season and time for him to step up. Came from the same high school in NC as DJ Humphries. Did he appear on offense or just kicking special teams?

Or it is a sign that you have an embarrassment of riches. Alabama has had 3-4 True Freshmen starters on the OL in the last few years. UGa started Cade Mays and Trey Hill this year.

Here's a possible offensive line grad transfer. Older brother of the second David Reese.

6'5 340 lb OT Stewart Reese. He wants to go to Med school and MSU doesn't have one. He is a 2 year starter at MSU.

He's not gonna go to med school and play football at the same time, but he could go to grad school and play football and then go to med school (or the NFL).

right. even if they didn't start, at some point in the 4th quarter and overtime against UGA last year in the natty title game, Bama had on a field a true freshmen: QB (Tua), RB (Najee Harris), LT (Leatherwood), and 3 WR's (juedy, ruggs, smith).....and STILL won lol

I have hard time seeing Stone Forsyth in any starting lineup

On the one hand Forsyth is an upperclassman and at 6-7 and has reach to grab fast SEC DEs. On the other hand is Forsyth quick enough and strong enough to contain SEC DEs. He has worked hard in the weight room and was a backup at LT last season.

High 4 star signee Gouraige is probably faster than Forsythe but he is an underclassman. His development in the weight room is important.

No one on thid board has ever seen Forsythe show the ability to play football. OL is the one position we have where young guys can really step in and steal spots with the “quality” of upperclassmen we have at the position

My hope is Gouraige can step up at LT but he is an underclassman so we will see how he developed his redshirt year. Forsythe was the back up at LT and is an upperclassmen so let the competition begin.

Some of the spring projections have Forsythe as a lock for one of the OT spots. Not sure where I read that.

When you back up a first rounder don’t expect more than clean up time

We will see who stands out among the frosh to add depth and maybe start at some point

The coaches don't share your opinion. They were quoted as saying they wanted to play him more. However, he had two draft picks in front of him.

Stone definitely has the size to be a good tackle. Just a matter of the feet. Curious to how much they've improved because they were not good when he first got here. You would have thought he was named after his feet. I'll need to watch some tape of our last few games and check out his reps and see how he's improved.

Just watched some reps from Stone. Definitely lighter on his feet. Enveloping guys in pass pro and getting to second level in run blocking. Looked pretty solid in those late game reps.

More than any other position in football, offensive linemen are grown and not born. The NFL is full of guys who played at small schools or were low draft picks or free agents.

Perhaps the MSU player could transfer without graduating and be granted immediate eligibility. If Fields can transfer to Ohio State and Tate can transfer to Miami and gain immediate eligibility, perhaps Reese can also do to a need to be closer to home and family, distance, cost, the opportunity for a better education, change in coaching staff would seem to provide Reese the same opportunity as Fields and Tate, if transfers in the summer

    FYI....
Tate Martell's eligibility has not been determined as of yet.. Ha is on campus and involved in training, but he still may have to sit until 2020.
