A pity the White House wasn't so gracious:

The White House, which had been calling for President Donald Trump to win the prize, did not immediately congratulate Machado, but a spokesman, Steven Cheung, questioned the committee’s motives. “President Trump will continue making peace deals, ending wars and saving lives,” Cheung said, adding, “The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.”

Well, Norway is worried that they will be retaliated against, the Venezuelan woman sucked up to him so that Venezuela doesn’t get leveled, and Trump decided to take out his anger on not winning an award that had an application date 10 days after his term started by getting big mad at China and threaten more of his dumb tariffs, which did this.



It’s honestly nearly impossible to believe this is real life and people are not only ok with it, they cheer him on. I truly can’t fathom it.

 

You mean killing the drug smugglers that are killing our kids. You would not know a fisherman if he sank a hook in your ass.

It is funny that we just threatened 100% tariffs on China and it doesn't even warrant its own thread because nobody really believes him. We are getting to the point where you might be able to start empirically estimating a TACO discount as the markets learn from his ridiculous behavior.
