That is her claim, not mine.
Report: Two People Recall Tara Reade Describing Assault or Harassment by Joe Biden
"Reade has said she was subsequently reassigned from her job managing the office interns, then lost her job after complaining to Biden’s staff and filing a formal complaint to a Senate personnel office."

All of the people to whom she claims she orally complained in Biden's office have said that did not happen. And nobody can locate any formal complaint filed with the Senate personnel office.

But, what if I really want to go on a fishing expedition to see what dirt I can dig up in Biden’s files?

Exactly. It's not hard to see the motivation here. Those are Biden's personal records. Great place to go to dig up dirt unrelated to this allegation.

Do you have a link to the original WaPo story? This is the earliest article I found. Seems consistent to the original story. If you have an earlier link, I'm happy to read it.

If they were treated the same... we'd have half of this board saying "I believe you" on the grounds of #MeToo... and we'd have both Biden and Reade testify under oath... No... they have not been treated the same... Not even close...

Both allegations have serious question marks, but the Democrats on this board chose to believe the allegations that were convenient and refuse to believe the allegations that were inconvenient. I guess "Believe Women" only applies to women that you like...

    Here's the thing...

I'd rather have us treat accusees moving forward closer to how we're treating Biden than how we treated Kavanaugh... The media should actually be covering it, they should actually ask Joe Biden like a single question maybe, but it's better than than the presupposition that Kavanaugh was guilty... We should actually give the accusation a chance (wait for the evidence), but the accussee should be given the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise... And if you bring this stuff up at the 11th hour, don't expect the world to stop spinning to accommodate you....

Now, we know Democrats are going to move back to the Kavanaugh standard as soon as the shoe is on the other foot... But conservatives will remember this... And the next time someone cites #MeToo or "Believe Women" as a basis to believe the woman... we will remember than nobody said these things with respect to Tara Reade...

Fubar my friend, a post like that gets you at least a half dozen "come on man" replies. You're almost there. Biden is the best the Left could do? It will be very interesting who his handlers pick to be VP. My hope is we get a real debate on stage. The Left will do all they can to not let that happen.

They know it's true...the best they can do is a "come on man" and slink away. Biden is an empty suit who will simply be a figurehead....similar to the President in many European countries where Prime Ministers run the governments.

Of course, that's if he can recite the oath of office without falling asleep or slapping the chief justice and accusing him of taking his pudding.

A couple interesting developments that I stumbled onto while perusing the hellscape known as Twitter. First, the neighbor (who is the subject of this thread) didn't come out until after Reade contacted her and spoke to her about the allegation. Second, I noted earlier that the brother changed his story (after initially not telling the WaPo that he recalled being told about the sexual assault). Well, in tweets that he subsequently deleted, one of the Bernie Bro socialist "reporters" who pushed the story early on admitted to calling the brother up and advising him on what to say to "correct" the record with the WaPo. That's awfully fishy.

wait, so Reade is begging for anyone and everyone to give her a platform to speak out, begging for records filed to be released.
Ford was given any and all opportunities like a public hearing.
Reade can’t even get msnbc to mention it once on air.

I know, I know, it's because the MSM is evil and biased. The Republicans hold the Senate. What's stopping them? The irony of this is that you think reputable outlets not wanting to touch her story is because of bias, not because she's not credible. Consider this: Even the "ambulance chasers" wanted nothing to do with her. That's right. Multiple lawyers spoke with her, investigated her claims, and opted not to take her on as a client.

Yeah, he is uninspiring until you consider the alternative. An empty suit is better than an XXL one filled with a narcissist and who knows how many other mental issues.

Then he becomes vote in at all costs.

It’s truly about voting one person out.

Your nonsense cracks me up sometimes. Here's your credible witness. She is her own worst enemy credibility-wise.:

"Finally, Reade seems to have, or have had, a strange obsession with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In an op-ed posted on Medium in 2018, she wrote, “President Putin has an alluring combination of strength with gentleness. His sensuous image projects his love for life, the embodiment of grace while facing adversity.” Since the Biden assault story broke, she has insisted she was merely writing a novel about Putin, but the Medium post was pretty clearly a political screed, headlined “Why A Liberal Democrat Supports Vladimir Putin.” She claimed that she quit working for Biden because she loves “Russia with all my heart” and was sickened by “the reckless imperialism of America” As the Times’ Michelle Goldberg points out, last December she tweeted, bizarrely, “I worked for the Senate, I know the plan to bring Russia to its knees.” She now repudiates Putin."

    The Troublesome Tara Reade Story

I understand clearly you have never even attempted to prove a criminal case in court before, much less done so successfully, so let me share a little insight....that stuff doesn't help. You will have jurors rolling their eyes and suppressing giggles with a judge trying to determine the earliest he or she could grant a motion for judgment of acquittal.

It is also the height of hypocrisy for any supporter of Donald "Grab them by the {kitty}" Trump to even pretend they care about sexual harassment or sexual battery....you forfeited that right.

Why is this being compared to Ford/Kavanaugh and not to the 18 lying media whores who accused Trump? Hypocrisy rules but does it have to be so obvious?

It appears that the WashPo never published Dr. Ford's texts with them but did provide them to the Committee. Here is the memo from Rachel Mitchell that summarizes Dr. Ford's testimony to the Senate with the evidence the Senate had at the time. Page 2, 2nd paragraph goes over the different accounts Dr. Ford gave. The memo also provides a very good summary of the timeline starting on page 6 of Dr. Ford's communications with her Congresswoman, The WashPo, and DiFi.

NBC News did a TV interview with Julie Swetnick about her bat guano insane story but they cannot give one to Reade?

What financial incentive would any lawyer have to take on Ms. Reade? Biden doesn't have any money and his campaign or supporters could not legally pay her to go away. It is a 30 year old alleged incident that is a he said, she said.

On edit: You failed to mention that the multiple lawyers she spoke with were provided to her by Time's Up a very left leaning organization which has a contract with Anita Dunn PR firm. It's no surprise that lawyers they recommended were not interested in taking Reade's case.

And let's not forget that Trump threatened to sue at least some of them for defamation. For some reason the Dear Leader never followed through, perhaps because he didn't want to subject himself to depositions under which he would have been compelled to answer questions honestly.

Interestingly, one of Trump's accusers has flipped the script and is suing the Donald for defamation.

I'm of the camp that dubious 20+ year old allegations should not be a dis-qualifier for public office. It's obvious to any fair minded person that MeToo is used as a selective political bludgeon. The level of vitriol directed at Kavanaugh compared to BIden is expected, not because of the evidence but because of the politics. It's sad to see those who nominated Ford for sainthood are now depicting Reade as a liar.
