  1. Oh ok, I'm the artist f/k/a NorthJerseyGator on rivals, haha. New here and to SEC Rant. Twice a year when coming down from Cackalacky the family roadtrip rolls down 301 and I wonder where in them fields ole Insta is tucked away, haha.

NJG, I'm still rural and still tucked, or maybe that's with an F....

I'm not all worried bout the football team, as I know that UF is actually a basketball school. o_O

Gotta start somewhere. We have more natties than both of them this century. And it adds value to our degrees to be known as a good academic school. In this week’s top 25, we have Vandy, ND, Georgia Tech, Texas and Michigan. All those schools are ranked higher than, or about the same, as UF academically. Right now, they are all better than us at FB. It can be done.

  11. From a wee bit of snooping here and there, I'm getting the notion that we are shoveling the coal into the steam engine Lane train to get it to the Gainesville station. That or it's the hopium trying to get me through these lean years, hopefully the former, haha.

I went back and watched every Ole Miss game- what Lane has done with Trinidad Chambliss - a backup, a guy who transferred In from Ferris St… had very little time in Kiffens system and he’s crushing it, the deep ball, crossing routes, tempo, read option, draws … it’s everything you want in an offense and Qb - coach connection.
And here’s the thing you can’t quantify… when you play aggressive on offense … when your GOAL is to score (not process or complimentary football or t.o.p. Or eliminating errors) but you wanna break their will at a breakneck speed… What you cannot quantify is the ENERGY it gives the team. Your QB gets in a rythym, your defense is hyped, players are celebrating…
Our team has looked lifeless because we play on our heels. We play not to lose.
I’m all in on Lane. He’s THE answer here. And yeah, we may not win titles every year… he’ll trip up and lose the Socar or someone he’s not supposed to… But we will win 9-10 and be FUN. Kids want to play for him. He’ll troll FSU and Uga … we need that. We need a good villain.

Miami isn't a blueblood, they're media darlings because they're the favorite team (along with ND) for the unaffiliated fan. Over 20 years since they've done anything, 30 since their big run.

Ironically (or maybe it's fitting) because there is no connection between academics and athletics anymore. I can't remember the last time I heard about someone being suspended/not playing due to grades.

Not the only one. I see other teams all the time and wonder why we're so slow and sloppy by comparison. Plus, IMO, Billy has ZERO feel for the game.

We would routinely be missing a few kids every season opener for "unspecified reasons" that was usually a euphemism for grade issues.

Michigan also went nearly 30 years between national titles and roughly 20 between conference titles.
