Dabo would be good if he embraces nil.

Kiffin is rebuilding his family life with his ex wife Layla, daughter of John Reaves, and his kids have been known to sport the Gators gear in the past. I take these developments as favorable for the ole Mighty Gators, haha.

Cignetti is too old. Lashlee has boatloads of NIL money at SMU so harder to tell how much is him and how much is money backing.

After Kiffin, it's Fisch and Schotty for me, for biased reasons, haha.

Kiffin I think is the choice that checks alot of boxes. I think Lane wants to win it all as bad as anyone, and Florida is where he can do it. If he turns us down, I would take Cignetti (he is old) but I think he gets it done. I am also intrigued by Fran Brown at Syracuse.

    My Top 5 are:

    -Freeman
    -Kiffin
    - Franklin
    - Cignetti
    - Fran Brown

I would also be open to guys like Riley, Dillingham, and Lashlee. I really just want a guy that is elite in either side of the ball who will be able to put together an elite staff.

I think it's Lane and Cignetti and then everyone else. Cignetti is older, but who gives af with how he's coaching. Dude is blowing teams out at the worst program in the Big Ten historically. He's a helluva coach.

For me, if we consider Lane he needs to make a run at the playoff this year. And winning vs LSU this weekend would go a long way towards that. He has a stigma that he can't get over the hump and win big games... I, admittedly, am worried about that as well. But I still think he'd do better in Gainesville with more talent/resources similar to Mullen's success the first 2 years. Hopefully Lane wouldn't make the same dumb mistakes Mullen made, and could make it work longterm.

Fran will not get an offer from UF. Isn't a culture fit. His recent tirade with some *interesting* language about NIL and transfers recently, is enough alone for us not to look at him. Ghetto talk. Looks like a decent coach, but it will take more than beating a down Clemson team to prove that. The Cuse's previous HC also beat Clemson one year and had some promising moments before eventually falling off.

Can't we dump Napier, have Meyer come in as interim corch? Then steal the very best from somewhere else?

I like the Oregon guy, too. Huge error not getting him way back when. This is all very frustrating. Purgatory, once again.

    Go Gators.

It would be difficult to hire a 35 year old 2 def coordinator with 2 years of experience.

I think this comment may be indicative of a larger disconnect between alum/fans and players. What you describe as “ghetto” is someone who the players understand clearly and that’s a GOOD thing. I’m not totally sold on Brown but I don’t see what he said as ghetto. Cig uses fiery, plain language and it’s seen as “tough and telling it like it is” but Brown is seen differently. Just food for thought. UF wants to win titles AND be Stanford/squeky clean image and that hurts us with players

Indiana gave Notre Dame a better game in the first round of the playoffs than UGA did in the second and no one would argue Georgia didn't belong. They may not be as far off as some think.
