The more I hear about Clark Lea I think he'd be an excellent choice as head coach

We have had several coaches fired this season and none of them experienced mass player exodus In fact, UCLA fired their coach and the new coach installed a brand new offense in two days and they beat Penn State!

Any player that left a team would forfeit their NIL money. Are they going to be able to go out and get a new contract in 15 days? No. They are going to play out their NIL season, knowing that they could leave during the next portal window when they have time to find the best contract. And the new coach is gonna try to make a name for himself.

The whole notion that firing a coach in season automatically destroys a program is false. To me, the whole decision this year is to do what is best for this team to win as many games as possible whether that is keeping or firing Billy in season. Either way by the end of this season, he needs to be gone.

I saw Tebow breaking down film of the Vandy offense. Tebow loved their offense. I don’t think Tim was just trying to be kind. He really liked it.

The key words in the new ruling are "window beginning five days after a new coach is hired or announced."

If fans love the Vanderbilt offense then UF should hire Jerry Kill NOT Clark Lea.

Go look at Clark Lea's record before Jerry Kill and Diego Pavia showed up. I doubt anyone will be impressed.

Before Clark Lea hired Jerry Kill, Clark Lea was 9-25.

    Still impressed with Clark Lea?

This is obviously not right, there have been plenty of posters on here claiming that Ole Miss spends way more than Florida....

Jerry Kill is one of the game’s most under-rates coaches. Unfortunately, his health just never allowed him the opportunity to coach too long as the head coach.

Agreed, but there doesn't seem to be any urgency on anyone's part to do it. Status quo.
