He could win fairly quickly if he kept the roster and had the proper bags for the portal. We dont have much returning on the oline and dline may need to be addressed also

 

I think the opposite. Apathy is massive right now. If Lane came and the roster was gutted due to the timeline then nobody would hold 2026 against him. It’s not like Billy would do better with a full roster

 

There arent many coaches out there beating teams more talent than their squad. A good coach should at least win half the games against equal talent and almost all the games with a talent advantage . Napier can do neither. .

 

Not sure it is Clark Lea or Pavia, though...

Looking at Vandy's 2007 team, they had a strong defense (ranked 16th). Suppose they had Tebow that year?

One thing I am definitely impressed with Napier about - His guys are still playing their tails off.

 

Pretty much every play since he got here. Even when confused or out matched they ball.

Fans also need some credit. Not just this game but especially this game. Great support for a 1-3 team.

 

This. I have no f’n voice. Us fans along with the players won us the game. Not Napier. I feel bad for all of us for having to be “led” by this guy.

 

No thanks. His teams are built for a finesse conference.

 

Hes not a good coach and needs to go …has been established. But for once we have one afternoon to celebrate. It was a big win and a game we clearly dominated start to finish. The TO rage is just weird.

PTSD from first half bad clock management twice..false starts after time outs…the rage was brewing watching so damn much talent being hamstrung by continuous gaffes from the sideline. Multiply it by 4 long years and the end was just the cherry on top deserved or not.
