Wonder what sort of little idiosyncrasies we’ll have so our stadium doesn’t look like these others?
I guess we do have berms. Plazas for kids/families...picnic seating? Pines and palms? Swamps?

I don't know, hopefully enough to distinguish itself. We have a lot of unique things we can play off of.

Will say Oklahoma State built a beautiful looking facility: O'Brate Stadium

I was told *they* are deterring softball/baseball fans from parking in the lot by Harn...even in front of the Dizney LAX fields - instead want us to use a lot east of the field, across the street from the new baseball venue. It’s a field adjacent to the horticultural building. I think there’s also a new lot just east of the Microbiology Building, too?

Have the traffic improvements been posted in here? All to be completed by February 2021.

Roundabout going in at Museum and Radio. Widening at 34th & Hull as well as Hull & Museum. Another roundabout at Hull & 23rd Drive I believe.

Webcam update shows the green artificial turf around home plate area has been installed along with the clay colored "turf" along the stadium walls. Looks like a thin layer of sand is getting spread over the crushed granite in the infield and still working the sand to cover the outfield. The most recent video of DR. Fuchs visit says they hope to have sod in place in the next few weeks.

I'm surprised they aren't also adding a roundabout at Museum and Hull. Taking a left there (when approaching Hull from Museum) is very difficult and I imagine even more so with the baseball stadium.

Went down Sunday to pick up my kid's scooter and drove by. It looks like it is going great and will be AWESOME!! I asked my son the same question about parking and he said he thinks most will be by the Southwest Rec Center. There is a good deal of parking by the LAX field.

*they* are trying to dissuade baseball and softball fans from parking at the Harn museum and SW rec center lot. Encouraging fans to use the lot/field between microbiology and horticulture bldgs. At least that is what I was told.

Love the use of roundabout and not traffic circle or some other egregiously wrong term!

Knowing that there was a baseball stadium coming, they paved the crap out of that field awhile back and made a huge parking lot. Surprised they didn't make it a parking deck considering that it is kinda hidden behind the buildings and has access to two different roads for ingress/egress (Hull and Museum Drive).

Is this a new trend to mix the artificial and natural surfaces? Noticed it on a few new venues.

I feel like (knowing the issues we faced at Chipola as the season would wear on each year when I was coaching pitchers and working on the field) the artificial surface in designated “high traffic” areas is merely a good option for less maintenance as the season wears on the turf.
