You can probably find that one play on YouTube. The world woke up to Noah on that one.
Ended the series IIRC.
I recall. It was a great play, and rightfully got replayed quite a bit.
This should be required watching for Gator fans.
Yep, amazing play. Everybody's going, "Wait. He's 7 feet tall?!?"
Why do some blame AN for the slow pace? (I've seen this on several threads). If CMW wasn't happy with his pace, don't you think he would tell him to speed it up or risk riding the pine? He's shown if you don't do what he wants, you don't play. Case in point, Stokes didn't practice hard so he didn't play. I don't think it's fair to blame Andrew for our slow offense. It's Mike's offense. If he wasn't happy, he could do something about it.
I recall many instances of White verbally pleading with AN to speed it up & at least as many for the team to speed things up as to slow down. Overall I think he wanted AN to be more aggressive, but wanted to use circumstances to determine the game pace.
I was never at any games, so I don't know how much that happened.
But, when they showed White in in-game huddles or in comments White made after games, I never heard him say anything about us needing to push the pace more, other than saying we should only run selectively which sounded more like a caution to not push it too much whenever I heard him. I do recall him making comments about us turning the ball over too much when we tried to run (which I agreed was true of several of our players).
I do recall him talking about players not setting screens (and I believe he mentioned something else, but don't recall now) with sufficient urgency right before Payne's minutes diminished.
I was at every home game last year and an away game at Vandy and I don't recall ever seeing this. Maybe you saw what you wanted to see or I didn't see what I didn't want to see.
I did see Mike White yell at them to be all on the same page when changing defenses, though.
Since I rarely watch NBA games I had not seen that before.
Really nice play by Joakim.
Paul Pierce made two critical errors. One led to the steal and the second was to try and defend the slam from behind on the opposing team's home court. Even if you do it cleanly you will get called for a foul unless you are Micheal Jordan.
Not this season, but in his freshman season I seem to recall AN getting a 10-second whistle for not getting past midcourt in time, or very close to getting a whistle. Against no pressure. I remember Mike yelling and waving him on frantically.
Why not have the whole team declare? May as well pump sunshine up everyone's backside. Maybe hold a parade too.
Meh, I could have done that.
Made a lazy pass and fouled.
Jo's first year at UF I could see that he was athletically gifted, but not as skilled as he should have been.
By the time he was a few seasons into his NBA career he was like a Bill Walton-lite: very good defender and a great passer.
And probably smoked less weed than Bill, but not by much.
Off subject for this thread but I am no fan of Grantham. His defenses can look great then give up big plays that make you scratch your head, but more than that, his personality rubs me the wrong way. I will root for him while he’s here but will not miss him when he’s gone.
Has the NBA decided when a declared player without an agent can opt to come back?
Will Nembhard and Mann be among those returning to campus over the next few weeks?

When is the deadline for Tre and Andrew to leave or come back? I'm still hopeful at least one of the two come back.
I would like to know this too.
It was extended for a couple of months, but I don’t know the date. If both come back, someone else has to leave. Who would be your choice to leave?
