If Rebs somehow get a slim 9th inning lead, would it shock anyone to see Nikhazy get up?
A long foul ball over the screen
Another SEC going bye
Don't think we have to worry about that. 13-1 Cats.
Watching SEC pitching being shelled last 2 weeks, w/ a couple exceptions, makes me realize just how bad AU pitching was/is.. No beuno
I've heard both Crews and Spiller are homesick and want to come to UF
With Bianco nothing is shocking when it comes to abuse of a pitcher’s arm…
True, both he and the combination of DVH and 11 are charter members of the abusers .
Guarantee if the Arky - State game would have been extra innings he would have left Kopps in there
Just visited the Ole Miss baseball message boards—almost as entertaining as the best Sunday Comics you can remember.
They have been calling for Bianco to be fired pretty much all year. To say that they are tired of all of the post season failures is an understatement. They want LSU to take him. They are lobbying for either McDonnell/L’ville or Godwin/ECU.
What about Wayne Graham? The Tigers drafted a couple of his pitchers and they were spent. In looking up those guys I came across this article.
Player Killers: what college programs are known for hurting pro prospects? at Nationals Arm Race
Good stuff thanks
My real question is how did they keep “11” and Bianco off of their list?
UVA takes down DBU by a score of 5-2 to punch their ticket to Omaha.
11 is some sacred cow, the media never touches on countless examples. Never understood that, I get that he was likeable and successful but that doesn't make him perfect.
UVa a pretty gritty bunch. Lost the first game of regionals and came back to win from loser's bracket and ditto in Supers-- lost first game and came back to win. Lots of heart. ACC now has two in CWS and with ND looking dangerous vs. MSU, ACC could wind up with three in Omaha-- who'd of thunk it.
Still shaking my head about Van Horn's pitching choices....
And Bianco was mirroring DVH’s moves…..
The ACC was jobbed this year by the stupid RPI. I have beaten this horse to death so no reason to give more data on it.
I'm certainly not as up on Bianco's program as you, but it seems to me that Bianco has a very good regular season record and a major collapse in the postseason. From the couple of Ole Miss guys I know, they felt that the team overachieved this year given the injuries, especially to Hoglund, their Friday guy and Elko (even tho he came back like superman in the regional).
However, only one trip to Omaha in 20 years is becoming a problem for Bianco especially after being #1 early in the year and regularly losing the season series to the Cowbells is right behind it. I think Ole Miss fans just expect to lose big games these days.
Besides their infamous “Hotty Toddy” cheer I think their most popular motto is “We never lost a party!”
Fire the cameraman this is horrible.
