I was curious to see if the NCAA had a PER like the NBA does. Well, here it is:

2019-20 Hollinger Player Statistics - ESPN

Blackshear is our highest ranked player, rated #93 in all of Div 1. His 26.71 PER is 0.15 higher than Lebron James:

Not bad. I (and I'm sure we all do) still think getting him to maximize his potential is our key to success. I don't have espn insider but if anyone else does and can see each of our player's PER please post.

That's a great rating for any player, and I don't think our guys have yet figured out how to fully integrate Blackshear into the offense. Or how to get the most out of their own abilities when opponents are focusing on Blackshear. He's a great passer from the post, so guys need to be looking for an open spot when he's got the ball.

    Florida Gators' PER:

    Blackshear: 25.2
    Johnson: 21.0
    Payne: 17.7
    Bassett: 16.6
    Lewis: 14.7
    Nembhard: 13.2
    Locke: 11.4
    Mann: 9.8
    Glover: 9.1
    Jitoboh: 8.6
    Gak: -9.5

A couple notes: first, I'm personally not a huge fan of PER and don't think it's a great way to evaluate players, but it's still an interesting thing to look at.

Secondly, the way PER is set up, 15.0 is the league average player. So you can use that as a reference point.

Admittedly, I'm no analytics expert. But judging by that chart, I think Gak needs more playing time.
