    Afraid of a bright light on this administration? You probably should be.

    Ok, I'll bite. How exactly is this playing games? It sounds like a good idea to me (especially if it's bipartisan) and has precedent.

    There probably should be some bipartisan oversight on $6 trillion dollars of new spending.

    Good. The kids had their fun bumbling and fumbling the coronavirus response. Time to let the adults get involved.

    Trump literally said he told Pence not to call governors that were not nice.

    Oversight of an administration that is saying that being nice, or not, can impact whether citizens of one state are treated equally with another? Yeah, there are reasons for real time oversight.

    I did not make that up. Trump said he wouldn’t call some governors based on how nice or not they treated him.

    If you want to say he’s joking, then oversight of an administration that jokes about handling what they say will be 100K+ deaths is warranted.

    If he wasn’t joking, then he was unethical as heck and needs oversight.

    The need for oversight is real.

    republicans deserve all the oversight the house can muster after the constant bs in the senate and in the house during the Obama presidency.

    For the longer term posters; how do you avoid just dropping F bombs on people? I’m new here. The struggle is real.

    I see where you coming from on this, what’s happening now is so much less important than Benghazi.

    Didn't the most recent bill actually call for the formation of some form of over site by the House?

    Honestly, I don’t see oversight as a stick in the eye. I see it as a Congressional responsibility, particularly when it comes to the purse. Congress has the purse string, particularly the House, which is subject to election most frequently. I want that institution watching how the executive is using taxpayer funds, and I want them to know I’m watching them watch. When Congress fails in its oversight role by giving up its institutional interest in favor of its party interest, the system fails its intended design and we all suffer.

    Benghazi = 4 dead and 11 investigations.

    Coronavirus = 5,663 dead and 15,490 investigations are due so far.

    This will be expensive.
