Oh yes we did, thus the sore elbow. Plus a few sore fingers getting them jammed trying to turn the rotary faster than it should be. We even had a "Party Line".
Or the base even works - à la Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Remember when they came out with redial (post rotary)? It made those contest calls so much more manageable haha.
The nightly lineup I remember as a young child was Hee Haw... then Green Acres... followed by Petticoat Junction. But I did like the Beverly Hillbillies too.
Yeah I'm not sure of the lineup but they all seemed to blend together. Green Acres and Petticoat Junction had several blended shows as I recall where they had each others characters sharing both shows. The Hillbillies needed no help. They had the best characters and could stand on their own. I did like me some Hee Haw as well. Sidenote, we have an elderly lady in our church that use to be a Hee Haw Honey.
