This kid went to Kentucky for 2 years beginning in 2015. He averaged 0.5 ppg and 4.7 ppg in his 2 seasons at Kentucky. He did not play college basketball anywhere else. Last night, he came off the bench for the Golden State Warriors and scored 25 points in 20 minutes, which included going 7-13 from the 3-point line. I find that to be amazing.

One correction. Mulder played in junior college prior to attending UK.

Why Heat draft Bam and Herro late in the first round from Kentucky. Too many good players on roster to get major minutes as a freshman. Allows those drafting later in first the opportunity to take some high skill kids that need additional development

Players still practice and can improve.

Impossible to know the dynamics behind the scene but I'm pretty confident if you dont do what the coach asks, you won't get much PT if the bench is loaded with talent.

Bassett is averaged 16 points over his last three games with Weber State. Never came close to that over a three game period with Florida.

Over the last three games he played with them yes. When has he even averaged 5 with the Gators?

A quick glance shows Bassett scored 8, 0, and 2 points in their last 3 games. I guess if you want to expand the sample size he scored 4 points in the game before that

Just quoting the article. I did not have time to doubt their representations. Perhaps the article came out in mid season and there were subsequent games where he scored lower. I think the article is dated in February which is pretty close to the end of the regular season.

    Here is the quote:
"Bassett is 6-foot-9, 245 pounds. He’s shooting 43% from deep and 90% from the free-throw line while averaging 16 points and 2.3 blocks per outing in the last three games."

New faith, mature outlook help Dontay Bassett energize Weber State basketball

Even so, a three game sample size is quite small. I don’t think he’s getting voted into the Hall of Fame quite yet.

What the heck are you talking about? His last 4 games he scored . . . 4, 8, 2, 0.

I liked Dontay and really hope he succeeds. But you are simply making up stuff, it seems. He averaged about 9ppg playing teams such as Montana State, Southern Utah, Tarleton State and Yellowstone.

Many people suggested he was not SEC caliber, and perhaps correctly so. He is not lighting it on fire in the Big Sky, but he is contributing in a way that suggests it is a nice fit.

Trying to suggest that his output at Weber should have translated to similar in the SEC is just dumb. I'm sorry, but it really is.
