Unfortunately, they may still play like they look.

What I love about Dan is he is ALL Gator. I love this quote:

“I will say this for me, I can guarantee you game one will be white pants, blue jerseys, orange helmet. That’s my first game running out of the tunnel, and I’m going to take a picture of me, you’re going to take a picture of me with the Gators as the Gators in my first game.”

Until we start kicking holy ass again on a weekly basis, toss those orange unis into the pit of despair.

    Bring back the SOS blue!!!

    GEEZ,

You are the Debbie Downer. Where is BAZZA when we need him.

I predict they could come out in Pink Tie Dyed and if they put up 50, y'all will be pulling out the AM EX buying the newest Jordans.

The Orange is from the Charlie Pell days. He brought it from Clemson.

Yes, I was there during the "probation years" where we stunk up the place in Orange, but that was Doug Dickey's creation.

I don't think so. It was Pell And then Galen Hall.

I think the Gators wore Blue Jerseys with orange helmets with white UF under Dickey

    But I could be wrong.

    I stand corrected.

Regardless, I want to see the Gator BLUE a hell of a lot more than what seems to be the darker orange.

But those of us who were products of the 80's grew up on the Orange. So to us it is tradition.

I like the O or B tops with the white pants...both look great.

My favorite is the Darker "Shiny Blue" Jersey & White pants ala Danny W in the 1996 NC.

I would like to see the Gator Logo on a Blue helmet. If you want the Gator Scales put them on a Blue Jersey.

Now I was an 80's Gator so I have my favorites. These kids are young. Just like I don't want to listen to their music, I am OK with it. AS LONG AS THEY WIN

That says a lot about his value for that combination. I feel better already

Pretty even and diplomatic response by Coach Mullen here: acknowledging that while it may not be traditional, it plays well with recruits and players--and, ultimately, if that helps get them motivated, so be it.

Would like to see a black jersey with orange and blue accents--we've done it for our bball team and they usually look fairly sharp. As far as the green jerseys from last year go: totally agree that it was just odd (I'm not in favor of trying too hard to look like an animal, and that's how it came across to me).

But also good to know that he favors the traditional blue top, orange helmet, and white pants. That's the staple of all our winning eras (Spurrier and Meyer), so good to know Mullen wants to head back in that direction as our base, with other uni combos mixed in.

IF we can go 15-0 I don't care what color we wear. Heck they can wear pink tu-tus if they go 15-0....why would I care.

If they win every game I don't care what they wear. I also will not be buying anything no matter what they wear. If they win the nat champ I may buy a commemorative cap or shirt though. :D

You are sensitive. I didn't think in a million years that comment would get a Debbie Downer response. Oh well. Live and learn.

    Then why would you care?

Would you rather be Penn St?

It was tradition to me as a student back then. But the last two years of the 80s were brutal and the SOS blue Unis exorcised the demons of probation, IMO.
