Thanks for the insight. I have little to none insider information about the athletic department. My opinions are formed on what I read and the vibes I get from watching our Gator athletic teams and coaches perform. Your comments on Urban Meyer specifically, and the athletic department in general, only serves to strengthen my opinions. I was elated with Meyer’s success but when the makeup wore thin the warts really began to show. What a disappointment he ended up being. As for some decision makers at UF being less than enthusiastic about a winning football program: I am hopeful the new president will have a positive impact in that regard.
It starts with putting someone in charge of the program that has high integrity and is authentic in his words & actions. We seemed to have finally checked that box. Now, let’s let him work.
