MLK Assaination files released

My thinking is that MLK jr was under FBI surveillance for a long time. I am sure there are things in there that may embarrass the family but honestly I am in favor of most national secrets being released.

 

If it's details that pertain to national interests or crimes I absolutely think it should be released. But it's just sordid details like he was boning his seamstress, no need.

 

I agree with you in theory but who gets to make the call as to what doesn’t get released. The FBI’s investigations of MLK jr were horrendous and exposing it should be the norm. Corbett’s is dead heck I bet most of his children or dead or at least retired.

 

Yeah, but so what? The hard truth, that MLK (in his role as a minister) was a hypocrite who regularly stepped out on his family, is already well known. And that just makes him a flawed man, like many, if not most, famous and powerful men who have such opportunities away from home and willing ladies lined up. Unless the truth is something really bad, like he was a serial molester of children, I don't think basic human flaws erase all of the good he did.

 

Like I said, we already know that. And his family knows we already know that. If it's just that, then they should not care anymore. That they cared fifty years ago is understandable.

 

That information is what people are expecting to see and is not in this release. The FBI surveillance and wire taps were sealed for 60 years and will not be released until 2027. This is nothing but a distraction

 

Why do you continue to want to run cover for Epstein?

 

I think that they question some of the information in the files and it's accuracy. The family does question the official record in terms of the assassination (I think the children question if it even was Ray who shot him). But I think they also question some of the information in the files as a smear against him (i.e., I think that they claim that they wrote things down that the family views as untrue).

 

MAGA people like you were totally in favor of having all the Epstein details released ....... until Donald Trump told you not to be.

The producers of The Apprentice hired Trump because Trump was an incompetent who would constantly fire the wrong people to the amusement of the viewers. They were right.

 

Oh, my mistake. I thought he had pivoted to saying that the bad ole "left-wing media" was now ...... who can even know what he means ...... saying bad ole stuff about these files - presumably though, that they haven't been released and should be.
