Some names are just meant to be changed.

 

That guy Fuchs.

 

My son and his wife graduated in 2020 from UF and they 100% adore Fuchs.

 

I think he pronounces it ‘fox’ because he got made fun of every day at school when he said it the right way

 

Spelling is easy. Its the pronunciation that requires a moment of thought

 

Is this the guy that got rid of "Gator Bait?"

 

He’s a nice guy, did good things in his time at Uf. He’ll be a very good interim.

 

And Gator football has never been the same

 

Gotta agree it's just ridiculous!

 

Yep... Bring back Lombardi... a REAL GATOR.

 

Fuchs is Fox in German.

 

Yes that is the translation, when you speak it in German is sounds more like the curse word

 

So is...uh, I got nuthin.

 

What is the curse word in German? (I don't want to Google it.)

A couple I know were friends with Fuchs’ wife back before she was married. They knew her last name, but didn’t make the connection to UF. A few years ago when Fuchs was president, they ran into her in West Palm.

They asked where she was living and she replied Gainesville. They said “Oh, what are you doing there?” She said, “Uh … my husband is UF president.” My friends, both UF grads, were kind of embarrassed to not know.

 

Tsch. Is that the best they can do?

 

So maybe he should run for POTUS.
