Those free throws he made late in a few games was huge; he stepped up and made them like a champion does. He brought a toughness element to our team that was really needed. Alijah, you are a winner and champion and we wish you success in your future endeavors. We are blessed you chose to be a Gator for your final two years at college. Thank you!

Yep. I don't think Clayton would have won all those accolades without Martin's influence. And yes, Golden and Associates get major props for recognizing the limitation in the team and what was in the transfer portal and what he could sell Martin as a vision. I think Golden has blown WAY past Pearl in that aspect, who still seems to be a bit more tied to pure horsepower than meshing players. I won't poo poo his handling of Broome, just that it felt like he was trying to make him Kansas's Danny Manning team. That is VERY rare, if only once. Kentucky and Davis, along with Anthony and Syracuse, were not one-man wrecking ball teams.
What a great message from Alijah - Beautifully crafted. What a pleasure to watch this young man compete, both at Florida Atlantic and UF. Exceptional. Such an important part of a team that accomplished a magnificent season, and SEC and National Title honors. Thank you Alijah.
