First since 2012 for indoor. 7 indoor and outdoor titles since 2012!

Women finished 4th---best finish in a while!

Continues the streak of at least one title per year!

    Congrats to both teams.

    4th is GREAT!!!!!

    1st is Incredible.

Indoor Track & Field is much like Indoor Soccer and Football, a similar yet considerably different phenomenon than outdoor.

Biggest difference is the size of the track and they dont have certain field events. I'm too lazy to look but I know in high school indoor track there is no discus, not sure about in college. I know there is no javelin in college or hammer throw either.

Holloway is probably the best coach on campus. It's a shame we don't have an indoor track anymore to showcase our team

I didn't want to start a new thread so I put this in with the track and field thread....

Former UF recruit out of American heritage, Anthony Schwartz won the national 60 meters championship. In his first ever meet he ran the 2nd fastest time by a US high schooler. He ran a 6.59 and the record is 6.57 seconds.

    Schwartz ran a national 2018 best 100 and 200 times of 10.13 and a 20.46.

This kid could be trouble for opposing CBs.

Pretty cool watching the replay and seeing the team do the chomp after the trophy presentation. Always a great thing. Never gets old.

    There's other differences too.
    3000m instead of 3000 steeplechase
No 10,000 meters or 400 hurdles
Distance Medley Relay is a scoring event. (1200,400,800,1600) There is nothing like this outdoors.

But most events are the same (I think.) I haven't done an exact breakdown.

    Very proud of our Gators!!

Hopefully CDM will let football players run track again as they did in our football glory days.

We had football guys do track in the Spurrier days (Bo Carrol), and under Meyer (Demps.)
    But not under Mac.

As I said when he turned Tiger. He can get individual awards anywhere but to win team titles it has to be the goal and the choice

May the Schwartz be with you but rather have a team than individuals.

I wonder if they could set up a temporary track inside the IPF and hold a few meets during the winter months after football is over?

    Ok first off Congrats Gators!

But second, WTH is going on with the guy on the far right? His left arm looks tiny, and his right arm looks like a tree trunk! Then, he also looks old enough to by MY dad! Probably just a bad picture, but man that just looks weird.
Cincinnati WKRP called and want Les Nessman back.
