Eh....not a fan of ND either but they are always paper tigers and will always get exposed eventually. I'll reserve my hate for fsu because of 93, 96, 98, Jimbo era amd all of his scumminess, their fans, their theft of tax payers, the Deion rule, foreign rules, Darnell dockett etc etc etc Remember....fsu fans generally root for Miami over Florida when we cross paths Edit: how did I forget the swindel....
Well good for you. The arrogance of UCF and their fans, their trash talk, hanging their fake assnational championship banner, their idiot AD and his smack talk, MM was a part of that. You can choose to have whatever opinion of him you want. I just hope the kid doesn't get hurt.
This board has gone soft. I guess everyone here cheered like crazy for Warrick Dunn too when he was at fsu. Probably loved his grit and determination on that back-breaking TD in the swamp in 93 (block in the back, btw) because, well, what a great kid. Milton picked the wrong damn school for me to wish him well on the football field. I wish him and everyone that's ever worn that uniform nothing but failure (not injury) on the field, court, diamond, etc. Plenty of other feel good stories across the sports landscape if I want to get mushy.
I didnt say I cheered for milton but I respect him for the comeback. Now I hope he loses every game lol
McKenzie Milton suffered artery and nerve damage, as well as a dislocated knee and torn ligaments, when he was injured as the UCF starting quarterback against South Florida in late November 2018. His leg was nearly amputated as a result. It's an incredible story. Hard to believe a person can overcome that much adversity. It says so much about the human spirit and the will not only to survive, but to succeed at a high level. Milton is an excellent quarterback. I have nothing but respect for McKenzie Milton.
He is not a clown, and will accomplish more than 90% of people on this thread . Includes me and probably you
Well, he was clowning saying UCF is the best football team in Florida and that UF was afraid to play them.
LOL at the hurt feelings about him talking a little trash. I like the kid and glad his hard work paid off. He looks like an incredible athlete and a hell of a quarterback. Will be fun to watch him go against the Gators. Hopefully we panic him (something tells me it won’t be his funnest game ha!)
Thank you sir. I knew I'd heard the kid's name before, and could not recall from where--didn't make the connection.
Larry Bird talked more smack than anyone, and I think he was one of the greatest players ever. I don't hold it against him.
It is really sad to see that some of you haven't outgrown your five year old selves and can't root for a kid who worked through what he did.
How's about the OBC? Ol' Spurdog ran him some smack back in the day... Adds spice to the game. I'm good with it. Here's what I do not care for, though--when the occasional nolie comes around that commands respect-the few and far between, like Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks, and now this kid... Just kinda' confuses things. (Life just makes so much more sense when you have douche bags like Jameis Winston, Michael Gibson, Peter Warrick, Darnell Docket...earning the 'criminoles' moniker).
Most 5 year olds don't get CFB rivalry. Perhaps you were meaning our 15-25 y/o selves? In any event...I can still respect a kid, and root like hell against the team he plays for. You might call it: "multi-tasking". (I wouldn't, but maybe that'll help you reconcile the apparent paradox of respecting a player who plays for the opposition, while still maintaining a healthy disdain for the team he plays for).
Um, their arrogance is akin to your 10-years old brother making bold statements. Big frigging deal. Um mods, is "frigging" okay?
