Thanks, Candy! Hopefully this is a win/win! As a PWO (I'm assuming that is still true), that gives leverage to the staff, and incentive to Cormani to work hard for a scholarship!
Counts as a transfer. Good transfer class now (8th per 247). Interesting thing is that Colorado has 40 transfers now. That's almost half the scholarship players at Colorado, even after almost cleaning house last year. Is Colorado going to be a one-and-done football team?
40 this year and 52 last year. Probably more than half their roster is transfers. After signing day, they only had 3-4 hs signees, but looks like they’ve added a few more. Class was ranked outside the top 100, but moved up to a respectable 81st now.
I really like this...... walk on situation too. Not writing this young man, hopefully he's ready to come in and work.
This has to be the recruiting coup of the century. Billy gets a 5 star consensus #1 CB in the 2023 class without using a scholarship, instead of getting him right out of high school where he probably would not have contributed much and may have scared off others we recruited and landed in the meantime. Unless he is an absolute cancer in the locker room, there is no downside here. The fact that he is accepting walk-on status tells me that maybe his mind is probably where it ought to be now and will be fine in the locker room.
As others stated, wasn’t thrilled after he trolled us but he’s a gator now so let’s get it cormani! has it been confirmed he’s taking a pwo spot?
He is going to find out real fast that this isn't Colorado and he better put on his big boy pants if he wants to play here. Let's GO!
NIL matters too. You may start seeing players forgo scholarships for bigger NIL packages…effectively allowing for more scholarship players
