Yep and people forget we are a RUN based spread offense and will always emphatize the run first when we have a DT quarterback. We're not going to look like OU so attracting ELITE wr's is goingwr's to be such a hard sell especially for BG since he's not the strongest recruiter. We'll land more Fraziors/Reynolds level RATED receivers more than Copeland/Henderson rated receivers

In my opinion, WR has a lot of good young talent. Hopefully we will get to see some of it this year.

Interested in see if Manuel makes it to campus. He's a top 10 WR ON the field last cycle. Probably better than Hendo if we're being honest.

Interested in Marks too. Too bad Arjei never made it to UF. Damn shame actually

Yet Timmy might have been the top rated passer in the nation without having an arm of gold. System?

If a kid wants to leave the state does that mean he just wasn't recruited well enough?

Nah. Some kids.just want to get away from what they've grown up around and stuff like that. Nothing you can do to sway them otherwise

No there is nothing wrong for a kid wanting to leave the state. The problem seems to be that 5-6 other programs have no issue out recruiting us in the state of Florida. Those same schools have no issue keeping their kids from going out of state. So if you can’t recruit your elite kids or theirs then what do you have? Being “ahead” of FSU and Miami hasn’t proven to make a difference in the state. I believe that 90% of the things that Mullen and Co have done are positive and superior to the last two regimes. The idea with this staff was that winning and long term relationships would improve recruiting and that just doesn’t appear to be true.

There are certainly some kids where you're just not going to win - you do everything right, and they still have their own preferences and that might not include you. Human beings are annoying like that.

The issue is not any individual recruiting miss. Mario Williams wants to play out of state. That's fine. The issue is the broader pattern and the overall talent level on the roster compared to the teams we are, theoretically, trying to beat.

Strange- Williams and Leary are both slot guys. Does OU play 2 slot guys every snap?

Thats definitely possible. But I still think its a question of recruiting. What kid says his dream is Norman Oklahoma? Its just odd to me, and feels like a reason for missing a kid.
