Got the clean sweep.....indoors never seems to be an easy transition for UF and this was no exception. Got pushed to 3 sets in 4 of the singles matches....Grief and Andrade both had to win at 6-4 in the 3rd on course 6 and 4 respectively.
Not a vintage outing, but tough to complain about a sweep. Took care of business as they prep for Natl Indoor

The Adkins Tennis center at the University of Illinois is a very loud and difficult place to play for a visiting team. They have upper seats that look down on the courts that are often filled with fraternity boys who can be very loud. In addition they allow seating between courts that put people right in the players laps. The construction of this indoor facility is like a reverberating tin can. The sound is amplified a thousand times! Illinois is having a hard time finding solid footing this season for a program that is well coached by Brad Dancer and assistant Marcos Asse, a former Gator. This was a good win in front of a difficult crowd. The match Sunday morning will be much easier in terms of a crowd. Purdue does not draw anyone to their indoor tennis facility. The Boilermakers have some good players but the usual team atmosphere just never seems to be present in their tennis program. This weekend is the perfect "dress rehersal" for the National Indoors to be played for the first time at the University of Wisconsin.
